Because Adam did not stay home, for days left wife alone, made snake come in and do his thing.....under the tree, well the rest his history.

She did not make him work, that was G-d's decree that man would work by the sweat of his brow. Women's punishment was is the pain of childbirth. Besides, she's to be his helper, not his nagging wife.
