Well, it's possible that he's missing some comforts from home(music, movies, cookies). In a conversation, if you haven't already, ask him what he misses from home, and maybe you can send a care package of his favourite things.

Hope this helps.

Does he have something to access video? Why not make a video. If you can track down some friends of his or family, have them send him a message. Take video of places you used to go together (or if you're relationship has only been long-distance, take him around and show him differnet things you've told him about in letters and on the phone). End it off with a romantic message from you.

Send it with a care package with stuff that might be hard for him to get in Iraq.

Send a care pack. Get the essentials, soap, lotion, I hear that hand wipes and hand sanitizer are big items with troops. Maybe send some travel size he can share/trade with his buds. Send some food items-breakfast bars and granola type bars are good (think what will do ok in transit and in less than ideal conditions till delivery). Maybe send some little luxuries-socks, gloves, a little fun item to pass time. And of course a special card. The big thinkg is send practical useful stuff-he will use them lots, think of how nice you were to remember him, and you can feel better knowing he has a few comforts of home. And remember to send early!!! Check with the PO to see when you must ship for Valentine arrival!

well you will need to send it a week or two before v-day. my guy was over there. and if you do send a package you will need to fill out a thing at the p.o. but a card is nice, a picture or two of you. guys over there really like anything that they get sent to remind them of home. hope this helps.
