sin is sin and sin equals evil in any form. If churches today did not have sinners in them they would be empty.
No sin is greater than another so girl on girl action is just as bad an action as stealing gum or committing murder.
It is easier to say "ya I did wrong" when it comes to allot of things but the relationships we get in are more personal. The bible teaches against it and allot of other things I have to worry about the other things, homosexually is not burden to bare nor to judge. because i don't think the way others do does not make me a bad person and I think this backlash is what pisses so many Christians off

OK GTW - let's keep this extra clean. You gave me a 10 yesterday then YA pulled the question. Tsk - is this part of your don't ask don't tell policy?
I'm fairly certain that our wonderful Lone Star state has dictionaries. So am I correct in reading you judge the individuals and not the religion? Is this all Christians, some Christians, or any Christian?
As far as the hate - however/wherever/whenever you have seen it - from Christians or otherwise, I'm sorry. There is nothing nice about seeing hate.
Sure there are Christians who believe sexual orientation is not an abomination. Check out the new (female) head of the Episcopalian church. She is making some groundbreaking steps in this area.

This is one of those hard issues, because the Bible clearly states in at least three different passages that lying with a man "as one lies with a woman" is detestable to God. To agree with this view means you are a bigot, to disagree means you're saying the Bible is wrong. The way I see it, homosexuality is along the same lines as committing adultery. Is an a person a sinner for being tempted? No. But acting on that temptation is the sin. Is an adulterer an evil, immoral piece of scum that is condemned to hell? Of course not, though I believe that all mankind is born with a sin nature that cuts them off from a relationship with God. So, holding up signs that read "God hates fags" and treating homosexuals as dirt is not the right way to handle the situation. Now I know, you probably believe that homosexuality is a natural part of humans, and as such should not be considered a sin, but lust, hate, and all the other sinful thoughts are part of human nature as well, as a result of the fall. This does not make them ok. Of course, the political aspect of this with legalizing gay marriage is a totally different can of worms that I don't want to touch. Anyways, that's my view.

I suppose I judge them for the same things. But yes, I have met Christians that don't believe sexual orientation is an abomination. Changing people is a long process, but I think slowly they're coming around.

Do you read the papers? I am an Episcopalian. There are a few conservatives in our sect, but most are open minded. Oh, sure we had to apologize to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the world for ordaining that gay Bishop, but other than that, no problem.
Seriously, in my parish we have a lot of gay men, lesbians and even one transgendered person. We love them all... not literally of course. ;-)

The Bible is clear on homosexuality in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
Even though it is a sin, the gay person shouldn't be
treated any different than the sins of a heterosexual person.

I do believe homosexuality is a sin. But please don't call me a fundie. It's the same as me calling you a tree-hugger.
There are some liberal Christians who are turning around on this subject. But the bulk of us still "bash gays".

Well we all have our thinking but i subit my thinkng on these matters to the Good Lord and his book the bible. Sin is Sin and homosexual persons ahve chosen this as there sin. Shall i support or condone it indeed not. Shall i pray for them, sure. Will i tell them it is ok or normal, no i shall not.
Just as a person is not born and then at the age of 12 decides he is going to be a thief. No person all of the sudden decides he is ment to be queer. And no sain person can actually think being homosexual is natural and is a good moral lifestyle. God has called this a abominaton and i understand why. God does not condone such conduct. Actually God even goes on to declare that he have given them over to there conduct for there destruction. They should alarm any one in the homosexual lifestyle. If You are so debased in God sight that he is giving you over to be destroyed then he really has atested to how deep in sin you are.
God allows murders to repent, he allows thiefs to repent and he allowes even lawyers to repent. But he declares that he will turn the homosexual over for there destruction. Of course there is a time and a place for all things. So if you are living in the perversion of homosexuality and you are getting alot of people telling you about God and you are spiting in there face you might want to think about the fact that God will call you out of sin before he gives you over. If you lisen to his voice and his messangers you can be spared from being destroyed if you do not you will indeed find that God is the giver of life and the taker of life. God has a plan for every person life if they will follow him he will prepare them for a eternal reward. If they will not lisen to his voice they all end up with the same reward, some get there sooner then others.
Homosexuals are different about there sin them most people are. When most people are in sin they try to hide it. Homosexuals try to get people to join in on there sin. They try to say i am normal and to actually seek out other to pervert into there on shame. This is because of there great blindness to sin, there minds have become twisted and they them selves have become twisted before man and God.
As a result of this great sin and there conduct, God himself makes a decree that he will give them over to destruction. I myself understand Gods logic this ticks him off to the point that he actually rains in his mercy to these kinds of people. Today some of the churchs in this nation are saying that Gays can be saved. I agree 100 percent. But you can't be saved and still remain gay. Salvation coem be repentance and changing direction is part of that. If a thief gets saved he has to stop stealing. The same goes for homosexual people. Any church that is promoting homosexual persons as being saved are liers and thiefs. And they are stealing from the homosexual people. The truth is we in the christian faith have a narrow and sinnless road to walk. Many are promoting sin as a lifestyle in christianity. We are told to overcome sin as christians, God is not a respector of people. Would he expect less of a homosexual.

Personally, I love the person who "loves the sinner but hates the sin", but I hate the part where they say they "love the sinner but hate the sin".
