Would you still be a Christian? I've never met a Christian who thought they were not going to heaven but the bible clearly states the path is narrow. That would indicate that there will/would be a lot of disapointed Christians on judgement day.

A recent question about a "Christian Checklist" was answered by a thorough barrage of statistics about the horrors of homosexuality--everything from the lie that AIDS is primarily a homosexual disease to gays being carriers of flukes. Or was it tapeworms? It was chosen "best answer" with a "thanks for the references" comment.

But I teach English (and research papers) and the citations looked suspicious. One, for example, was from a "Medical Journal of Homosexuality," which just sounded... odd. So I checked. No such animal! The Library of Congress never heard of it. So... when you see a thorough "works cited" list of something, how often do YOU check to see if it's BS or not?

FYI, here's a full article showing the misrepresentations from the list in question:

Here is my point! As a person who knows God and am myself blessed to know God. I desire that you also may know God. Many think i am bashing the people of Islam. Actually I am not, I am pointing to the truth of God. As sure as the day and night exist God exist. But you can't find him he has to find you. That is why Jesus was sent. Jesus is the messiah. Some people call him a prophet. He was the redeemer of all mankind, weather you are a christian a muslims or a jew, or perhaps you have not faith.
Then you read the old testiment in the bible you are seeing God as the Father. He is angry at sin and he is actually brutal to the enemy of his bride the nation of Israel. But the old testiment is rally about the condition of man and mans heart. We see menkind at there very worst. And we see a angry God who demands holyness.
Jesus is professed by many as not being the son of God. Yeat the prophets even spoke of him coming in the torah. In the quran which has been changed.

I mean, they can march around and pull triggers but how can they be seen as a strong, mature, honorable, and brave military machine when the thought of a gay man serving with them scares them. And what is so funny is that a gay man is serving with them! The only difference is the gay man is forced to lie about the fact that he is gay so that everyone else doesn't get scared.

I know that I am just a woman and everything, but if my boyfriend can work with a gay guy with no problem, shouldn't a trained soilder be able to?Also, it is interesting to know that several nations have begun allowing gays to serve openly. So, when the US military does joint operations with those military's, how do they cope with their phobias?

No other religion will be accepted hereafter other than Islam, so worship Allah alone and dont associate a partner with him, the sin which Allah will never forgive.

Under what conditions? If you married a Muslim? Simply because you found yourself visiting one of their countries, meeting good people and accepting to be like them in religious beliefs or to honour them? Or why not?

I wanted to learn about Christianity: the characters in the religion, the major occurrences but I have tried reading the bible and I find it very laborious and cumbersome to read...I want to know all about the saints and things like that...Mark, Mathew, etc...Are there any videos or fast reading books you might recommend? (If you don't think there is a faster way, please don't respond, I will just ignore your response because I am looking for a faster way, not an answer that says there is no faster way)
