Would you still be a Christian? I've never met a Christian who thought they were not going to heaven but the bible clearly states the path is narrow. That would indicate that there will/would be a lot of disapointed Christians on judgement day.

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking if I would remain a Christian if there were no chance of redemption for me for doing so and I would still end up in Hell? Probably not. Being a Christian means being a follower of Christ. Jesus promised that he was going to prepare a place for us in his Father's heavenly kingdom (John 14:1-6). Jesus also promised that those who heard the gospel, believed it and were baptized would be saved (Mark 16:15-16). Jesus promised that the obedient would be spared from hellfire, but the disobedient will be sent to Hell (Matthew 25:31-46). Jesus also warned that "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21-23)." This includes Christians (those who were baptized into the Lord's church-Acts 2:38) and those who call themselves "Christians" but are going about contrary to the Lord's word. Yes, there will be a lot of disappointed Christians at the Judgment. However, there will be far more disappointment in the denominational world when they learn that the ways they've been following do not coincide with Jesus' teachings, the apostles' doctrine, or the doctrine of Christ.

It comes down to being obedient to God, His Word, and His Son's doctrine (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 2John 9-11). If Christians are not going to focus on this, then they shouldn't be surprised when they are sent to Hell...because that's where they chose to go.

That's the whole point of being a Christian though. I can't imagine there not being any redemption. I would be terrified everyday of my life. There will be some disappointed Christians but they are the ones committing some serious sins secretly. I think that a lot of people will go to hell Christian and non-Christian alike but everyone will still have the chance to get out one day once they have finished paying their debt for their sins. There is one main bible verse that says this; Matthew 5:26.

Why would one be disappointed? The path is narrow, yes, but the so called 'disappointed Christians' know where they're gonna end up.
The Bible meant it as a warning. It also clearly states what one has to do to get to heaven.
Or are you talking generally, as in muslims and all?

I still have to understand if I'm a "real" Christian...I mean, I believe in God and Jesus, but I'm not in good relationship with Church. I think priests have their own ideas about what is right and what is wrong, so they probably have changed, in the past, some aspects of our holy book...Anyway, if I knew that I would go to hell, without chance of redemption, I probably still be Christian, but I would like to know WHY I'm going there! I think that people shouldn't follow a religion just for what they expect to find in the afterlife, but also for the values this trust has...I appreciate most of the qualities that are loved by God, so I live my life trying to do my best in this sense...I don't know if I've answered correctly to your question, maybe I've been a bit confused...and sorry if my english is not very good, I'm italian...I live in Tuscany!

I do agree, there will be ALOT of people at the Rapture and the Judgement disappointed. Not everyone that claims to be a Christian is a true born again Christian. Alot of "churches" teach salvation through works.. which gets you no where but to Hell. The ONLY way to get to Heaven is to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord and the Son of God, that he died for YOUR sins and rose again the 3rd day, and is coming again. You have to ask him to forgive your sins and trust in Him by fatih that he will carry out His Promise.

I am Christian, the bible does not speak of hell where the sinners are tormented. Burning humans is disgusting in God's eyes. (Jeremiah 7:30-31)

God is Love (1 John 4:8)
“Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—Job 34:10.

Romans 6:7 For he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin. -No need for punishment in a fiery hell as death is sin's punishment.

The bible says "But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." (Psalms 37:11) Not in heaven but earth just like Adam and Eve in paradise before they sinned.

I think that there will be a whole lot of disappointment from a bunch of people that thought they had it all figured out,not just Christians.

Read ISAIAH 28: 21, 22, 23

This tells what God will do for those who reject Him. To say that people will not be punished is absurd. God HIMSELF is speaking these verses that are wrote
