Test for christians?

Okay. There is a nice guy. Super nice. He is kind to his fellow humans, he does not discriminate, he has friends and family and hates no one, he is very responsible and is overall one of the greatest people in the world. Everybody thinks he is cool, he is nice, you get the picture.

Now, does this description alone sound like someone who you would like to be friends with?

How come there's no verse in the Bible condemming sex with minors? There's specific verses about other stuff?

Homosexuality, bestiality, idolatry, etc. all have individual, specific verses condemming those specific acts, not just generic "don't do evil" citations. Child sex and child marriage were rampant in the ancient world and widely considered o.k. (not evil), so people wouldn't have made the modern assumption that we make "of COURSE you don't do that", so if people were to know God didn't want them to do it, a specific prohibitation would have been needed -yet, there is none! It is a matter of history that the Hebrews married girls off at twelve or so, so it wasn't obvious to THEM that they were doing wrong, so what gives?!?!? How come God didn't tell them to knock it off...? (And no, don't go quoting be some highly generalised, generic "do no harm" verse, either... I want to see a verse that says "you shall not lie with a male of female child; it is an abomination" or words to that effect...)

Why is everyone so quick to judge?

I dont understand why everyone can not get along. All I see in this board is things about God and Christians. You see hardly anything about Pangan/Wiccan on here. And when you do, everyone is so fast to judge saying that its the devils work and all that bull. You see more about Wicca on the Mythology and Folklore board then on here. Thats so fuc*ing stupid because it belongs on here, because it IS a religion. Everyone is so fast to judge though. How come you guys think that the only right religion is your own? So is everyone who is Pagan part of the devil? Do you think that they are horrible people who are going to burn in h*ll because they believe in a different God then you? Do you know its one of the oldest religions, and on top of that one of the purest. Did you know that we worship earth,trees and plants..We even worship animals and we think that killing them is wrong. But everyone seems to think that we kill animals for fun. You have you God we have ours, same difference.

Since God ignores us, why shouldn't we ignore Him?

Since God does not come to us, why should we come to him?

Since there is a lack of proof and even reason to believe, then why should I believe?

Would you laugh if the Day of Judgement turned out to be a giant talking goat instead of the God of the Bible. The angry goat would ask why you chose to not believe in him, and you would just say, duh, a lack of evidence! That is what I would say if God really did exist.

How can I thank the African-American race?

They had a hard time being slaves in this country. I want to show my thanks for everything they have contributed since, all the inventions, all the great leaders they have produced. Without African-Americans, we'd still be living in huts and caves and probably wouldn't have cool things. They are by far the best race, peaceful and non-violent. I imagine a USA without black people and I shiver, it would be hell. All these whites and asians living in poverty. Thank you African Americans. How can I thank you more?
