It is biodegradable but the rate at which it degrades is very very slow. So for practical purposes it remains there almost for ever.
Most of cut hair go in making of wigs...so entertainment industry is biggest consumer, after that should be big name of the fasion/biz world...

Hair transplants for the balding. And yes, it's biodegradable.

Don King takes a large amount of it for himself, actually that's a good q, i think it just lasts and lasts, like when they find ancient pete bog men with a full hair do, i know the pete preserves but in other cases they find corpses with a full head of hair.

It is made of keratin so it is biodegradable, but it takes a while to decay.

If not into wigs, into a bin, and will rest nearly forever, if not burned. I think probably because it is made primarily of protiens.
