Be it societal, or individual?

No, I don't really think so. Its very rare to find someone who is oblivious to what others think. I tried to tell myself "I don't care what anyone thinks." But I ended up trying to make sure I don't wear something that will cause attention. We are our own person. But especially for youth, we can sometimes be controlled by peer pressure. Pressure to drink, do drugs, have sex, wear whats "in", and not be ourselves. We just want to fit in. There are some people who are oblivious, but like I said, its pretty rare.

I can honestly say, with no pride, that I am immune to peer pressure. I don't care what everyone else in society is doing, I do things the way I see they're best. I don't do or act as everyone else in school is. Even if my own close friends do something I wouldn't, I still stand firmly against it. I am my own person.

And by the way, Bombay, I didn't get that way by following God. Following the Christian interpretation of "God" is one of the many ways people get stuck in peer pressure in the first place. Most Christians live by it.

yes, I am, I never did anything any of the other kids in school told me to do or something everyone else was doing thast was bad... I never did anything like that... I am 13 and I couldn't stand everything people are doing in school and starting fights so now I am home schooled. I will never EVER smoke, drink, or have kids.. I WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT! I never really have Peer Pressure cuz if you look at all of the things kids are doing these days and see how bad the things are you will come to ur senses and not want to even consider any of it.

I suppose that there are a select few who are, people who follow God without being influenced by others, but I think that it is a difficult feat to accomplish for sure. Peer pressure is everywhere, be it conscious or not. It's always there.

(I hope that makes sense)

I am completely immune to peer pressure, at least when I asked my friends what to write, that's what they told me to say.

Someone who genuinely doesn't care about what others think can not care about his peers. Immune is the wrong word, I think intolerant is better.

Yes. Hermits. Recluses. Schitzophrenics. People with a God complex. And the elderly who suffer from dementia.

No, I don't think so. We all have a voice inside of ourselves telling us we need to fit in and the pressure around us just encourages it.

Not completely. They still have a lot of pressure, they just choose not to give into it. That's all it is.
