I do but it doesn't have to be to God. It can be in the form of meditation but I think prayer has to be a personal form of installing hope and an outreach of understanding for yourself. not some preacher in front of the church reading off a piece of paper.

Absolutely...but I do not know if I can relate specifics...prayer seems so close to me, that I am hesitant to share about it.
God feels so close sometimes, there is no separation and only pure love there. I know that He hears my every cry...and that He cares about every little aspect of my life. He is more real to me than breathing.
He is completely good...all the time...and I can count on Him in good times and in bad times.
Two friends and I pray together...and it is powerful! He has answered many of our prayers for family, friends and for our own situations. People don't know what they are missing, if they don't develop this special relationship with their Creator. It is like owning the best, most luxurious mansion in the world and never going inside to enjoy it....when you don't take the time to pray.

Not sure about the power of prayer but I definately believe in the power of positive thinking. If praying makes you more positive about the situation then I believe that power will help with what ever you're praying about.

Yes - absolutely. I have a perfect example of God answering prayer (not that we need proof that He does because it is by faith that we trust in His answer to prayers). I have a friend in California that I talk to via email. I keep him in my prayers every night. Well, there was this period where I haven't heard from him in quite a while after I emailed him. I started getting very worried nearly to the point of being frantic that something had happened to him. It was a Saturday night that I prayed to God that he would answer me somehow to let me know he's ok. After I came home from church the next day (Sunday), I checked my email and, would you believe, there was an answer from him? He said he was 'ok' and not to worry. I was totally amazed, but immediately knew that it was God's answer to my prayer. God knew I was worried and fretting over my friend's well-being and so, He put my mind at ease through my friend letting me know he's fine. So, to answer your question: YES - I absolutely DO believe in the power of prayer! God only hears the prayers of His 'elect' or 'chosen': born again believers - not those who are unsaved or outside of Christ (those without salvation through Christ).

Yes. Anytime I ask God for something, he helps me out, not always necessarily the exact thing I ask but he helps me in some way. Through prayer, I have become a better person, and have built a stronger relationship with God. I am fortunate enough to know that God works in many ways for us.

Yes I believe God hears everything I say. He has answered many of my prayers just as I have asked. God is very good to me, and I have learned the secret to getting your prayers answered, OBAY!

Prayer is useless. If you pray and the results are not in your best interests, then it was God's will. So if God's will supercedes prayer, why waste time in prayer, just wait for God's will. If you pray that someone ill gets better and that person dies, was it God's will? or a crappy healthplan.Prayer doesn't change nothing, if that were the case cancer would not exist.

Prayer works for believers! The answer may not be what we want or expect but the Bible tells us that all things work together for the good for believers.

Praying is, in my opinion, not a "power" per say. Just because I pray for something (such as a book) does not mean that I will get it. I usually pray for hope, strength, courage, and a shoulder to cry on. It is through my own will and God's that I recieve these things.
