I dont understand why everyone can not get along. All I see in this board is things about God and Christians. You see hardly anything about Pangan/Wiccan on here. And when you do, everyone is so fast to judge saying that its the devils work and all that bull. You see more about Wicca on the Mythology and Folklore board then on here. Thats so fuc*ing stupid because it belongs on here, because it IS a religion. Everyone is so fast to judge though. How come you guys think that the only right religion is your own? So is everyone who is Pagan part of the devil? Do you think that they are horrible people who are going to burn in h*ll because they believe in a different God then you? Do you know its one of the oldest religions, and on top of that one of the purest. Did you know that we worship earth, trees and plants..We even worship animals and we think that killing them is wrong. But everyone seems to think that we kill animals for fun. You have you God we have ours, same difference.

I just wanted to say that I am not quick to judge anyone. I do not put anyone down for their religion. I was just asking why people are so quick to judge. I never said that anyone was wrong in what they think. I just dont think you should judge people who do not believe in what you do. Thats like judging someone by their skin color. Its just wrong. Like I said everyone has the right to pick their religion, they however dont have the right to judge others for what religion they picked.

Because Christians are brainwashed as kids, or are scared little beings that if they do something naughty they are screwed, so they have to kiss *** to try and fool the all great one! While Wiccans are the other hand just care to care, that's all they wish to do is live happy, love life, love nature and the beauty in it, just to turn around and get spit on by some piece of **** brainwashed Christian that doesn't know how to take their studies a little bit further and realize there is nothing satanic about Wicca, nor is there anything bad in having your OWN beliefs!

I know some Wiccans. I'm friends with them and I'm not as ignorant about them as most Christians (or the mainstream American populace for that matter). I think you all are good people, but the thing you lack is Christ. Wiccan beliefs deserve some serious consideration and alot of it is really good. I believe we should have more respect for the world God has placed us in. He made it for a reason, and that reason is to preserve us, not for us to abuse it and do whatever we feel like with it. I advocate integrating certain aspects of Wiccan belief into Christian thought. That being said, some people would condemn me for that, but honestly, I'm used to it. I hold some unpopular (some would say liberal, but I hate that word) views as a Christian. The only people who really respect me, and even occasionally agree with me as a thinker are my friends at my Christian school, and that's mainly because we're the "weird group". We're the people who are well-versed in the teaching of various religions and believe in ESP and study demonology and angelology.
"How come you guys think that the only right religion is your own?"
That's actually a good question. Think about this. If I didn't think it was right, why would I practice it?

Maybe it's because as you said, we have our God and you have yours. In the same way as you so firmly believe what you do, so are we toward the God whom we believe created the very things you worship. Our spiritual paths are divergent. I have no power to change your mind or beliefs and this answer is not to even try. A lot of people will judge you, me, based on their own standards and perceptions. Me, for being Christian. You, for being pagan. As for getting along I believe life is hard enough as it is. We may never be friends but I would never deny you a glass of water if you were thirsty.

People think that way because one of the major tenants all major organized religion depends on is the laziness and gullibility of its followers. For these people it is simply easier to believe what they are told by their religious leaders than to research it for themselves. And one of the ways a church keeps its members inline is by telling them all other religions are false and "of the Devil". Keeps the "faithful" from drifting if they think their souls are at stake, and keeps the ones at the top in power.

angel: You seem very "cheesed" at people for his or her opinion on this subject, however, condemning of the Wicca religion or not. Remember; people are people, and dislike the fact, that you are not like them. Telling people they are going to "hell" is not a very Christian thing for people to be doing. It is not their place to be saying this to people, anymore than you telling them, to go to "hell" . Remember; people ARE people, and they think that they are helping you by telling you (untactfully) that you are wrong. I am a Christian, and apologize for any offence I may have cast your way. I, personally, do NOT believe in a loving God [Jesus] roasting people forever, in a "hell" ! Since God is in the saving business, this "hell" concept would mean, that Satan [devil] will manage to destroy billions of more people than God can ever save ! God IS more powerful than the Devil ( God made the Devil ), and this "hell" concept doesn't stand up to the test of God's love for ALL humans ever, created. NO ! I don't believe in "hell" ! God gives all people the right to be wrong ... even, Christians. There is some dysfunctional religion and bad theology out there ... so; make allowance for this !

Before I answer, I should put down my burger...Ah, where was I? Oh yeah, the wicca weirdos.
It seems to me that you are quick to judge all non-Pagans. Obviously, you're emotional about this, but instead of trying to set the record straight, your shrill commentary isn't helping the cause.
Are you a Pagan because this is what you really believe, or are you one of those anti-establishment goth teenagers that think that the rest of the world is too stupid to recognize your obvious genius?

i'm christian i had the same views of pagan people until the beginning of this school year. i befriended a new girl because people were shunning her because of her religion...and i too thought that she was a crazy devil worshipper. but, she explained paganism to me and it was nothing like that at all. i was very surprised to find out what it was and it was very interesting. we've had some very educated thoughts about eachother's religions while not trying to convert eachother. i respect her beliefs, while she respects mine. and i'm very glad that you're posting this to stick up for your religion and beliefs. thumbs up!

Actually Angel they have the same God that you do.
They just like to pretend that he is a big judgmental white guy that lives on a cloud called heaven.
All that pretending doesn't change the real God even a little bit, does it?
love and blessings Don

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join them, you'd see a lot less hostility against them.
Wicca may be, on some level, as silly as all religions - but they're harmless, so there's much less reason to fight with them
