I received the following insight in my email today:

WHAT HAPPENS TODAY COULD IMPACT THE REST OF THE YEAR. HERE ARE A FEW NEW YEAR’S SUPERSTITIONS:

When you wake up, toss your right shoe into the air. If it lands on the sole, it means you’ll get married this year.

Eating black-eyed peas will bring you luck; eating cabbage will bring you money. And don’t pay the bills, or you’ll be paying them out all year.

Make lots of noise at midnight to ward off evil spirits.

Good luck will be ensured for the year by draining the last bottle of alcohol in the house (assuming you didn’t do that last night).

***
Do you know any (or DO any) New Year Superstitions?
(gonna toss my shoe in the air after i sleep and get up)

In Scripture, God said that He was regretful that he created man, most likely after the original sin. So it would seem that He would eventually stop the creation of anymore humans by supernaturally making all women on the earth infertile. If He didn't send His own Son to that cross at Calvary, so that we sinners would be given atonement, then why would He continue the human race? I doubt that He would create anymore of us, if we were doomed to eternal punishment right when we were born. So looking at it this way, Jesus was born not only for our atonement, for continued life on earth.

While their President sends 3000 American troops to their deaths in Iraq, plunges their country into 29trillion dollars of debt, and turns their country into the most hated country on Earth.
I don't get it.

what is the real point?? why is something better than nothing? i mean if god was so perfect and divine on his own, then why did he create man. a race of living things that are born with sin. why would god create a race that is born with sin if he is so pure and perfect? is he so narcissistic that he had to create people to see who obeys him and who doesnt?? what is the point? if we are the product and creation of god then why are we so flawed??

I have been trying to figure this out. I need to know so I may learn more about it. I do not believe in God, nor heaven or hell. I do believe that souls remain after death, and cross over to another dimension. I believe in the cross communication of the living and souls. I believe that a person should live by morals and positive actions, and should be held accountable to such.I do believe that earth and all animals are sacred. Thanks in advance. Happy New Year.

I'm in a relationship with a older gentlemen from Japan, we have about a 25+ year age difference. Since I'm one of the unlucky few, that look younger than their very own age. (I'm turning 19 but depending on the way I wear my hair/ wear glasses or not, one could think 16-17.) How could Japan reflect onto this?

Thanks

ok, I'm confused myself. I do not know what to think of myself. u see, i was born in USA, thus I'm american citizen by birth :). my family is originally Egyptian, so I have a dual citizenship. I lived in both USA and Egypt. I speak good Arabic and English. I'm a Muslim and wear headscarf. I get along with Americans and have both American and Arabian friends as well as some Indians, Mexicans, Asians, Italians, u name it. Sometimes I love both countries, and sometimes I hate them both. When people ask me what am I, I say am an Egyptian with an American CITIZEN! I am curious to know what u think?Egyptian or American?

I've tried some translators, but some words are unclear still... I could be misspelling, so please help me.

A la nanita nana, nanita ella, nanita ella
Mi nina tiene sueno, bendito sea, bendito sea.
Fuenticita que corre, clara y sonora,
Ruisenor que en la selva, cantando llora.
Calla mientras la cuna, sea balansea.
A la nanita nana, nanita ella.

This is a traditional song in Spanish, I think. I heard it on the Cheetah Girls 2 soundtrack, just in case that helps.
