2. In France, it's almost never used, but everybody knows what it means
3. I don't know how to translate it. But it's not oh yeah, it's more like "oh no"
4. Better not use it with French speakers because it's a bit childish. they will take you for someone stupid

It's definitely French, but Americans and English people use it in a sarcastic way to immitate Frenchies.
The Oh is pronouced like the o in J. Lo. The a is like the a in Shakira.
If you saw me wearing a beautiful dress and a big diamand, you would go: Oh La la, c'est joli.
If I said I lost all my money at the casino and had to walk back home! you would say: Oh lala lala lala c'est de la merde!
The young French generation doesn't use it as commonly as the older one. It's usually a dramatization of your words.

I went to high school with a girl whose parents had an open marriage. They weren't monogamous, as others have said, but they did have rules about how much or how little the other relationships infringed on the marriage. Her m.o. was to find a couple, break them up, get the guy to give her a ring, then break up with him. How much that was influenced by the open marriage concept or what, I don't know. I do know she had quite a collection.

A fantasy for people who don't want to divorce. Seriously, all of the couples I have known who had open marriages - where you can have sex with other people - have been that way because they weren't really happy together anymore but didn't want to split because of the kids, or because of what their friends/families would say, etc. It's sad.

Ha! This is one of my favorite expressions, and is used a lot by the french. It is pronounced oolala 'a' as in the word "ah".
I have never heard it used by English people. It's meaning is a bit obscure. It could mean "oh my word", "I can't believe it" that type of thing. Times when you could say it for example:
-a friend tells you he had to pay $100 for a nasty hotel room. You could say "oolala"
-someone says something naughty or sassy which rather surprises you. You could raise your eyebrows and say "oolala".
-a nice looking guy/girl walks by and you (quite impressed) follow them with your eyes and say "oolala" (under your breath of course!!) Actually in that case you can even say "oolalalala!!"

the o is pronounced like ooo in boo or moo. it's something you just say sometimes as a replacement of yes or similar. i do believe it's french.
