Why is it acceptable for men to go around without shirts, yet it is frowned upon for women to go around without shirts? Isn't this sexist?

Please be honest. Do you become defensive naturally when meeting certain races? I personally have a love for all people, but all people don't feel this way. I can get defensive when it comes to discrimination ( I am a black female). But... if you're good to me I will be good to you.

If not, then why is it that Americans are like this? As a Libertarian, I am apalled by the hipocracy of anti-smoking organizations, anti-obesity movements, anti-abortion protestors and even most vice laws. Was the Constitution not clearly defined enough? I mean, what do people care what other people do if it doesn't affect them?

What really bugs me is when people use words like "epidemic" in regards to obesity; "parent education" when it comes to parenting; or even "disease" for alcoholism. I'm sorry, but I was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy; I've never walked before in my life and THAT, my friend, is a disease.

Sorry, I just had to vent.

just wondering why it is a big deal to non believers. if you know what a true christian is and that we are good people and kind and loving then why care just because we believe God created us. i understand there are some who say they are christians who like to judge and all. and take it to the extream. but there are also those who are not christians who go out and drink and drive and kill people. and you seem to not care about them or what they do. but not liking a christian just because we serve God and believe God created us is to me a dumb reason. we have are belief and you all have your belief just like muslims do and everyone else.

why do people say new years is a "fresh new start" when for most people it starts with a hangover ...and...nothing changes, there are still going to be the same problems as the day before..yeah, its a new year, but you say you'll change for the new year, why cant you do that any day? quit smoking, lose weight, just do it!! ...i think its just an excuse..new years eve is now mostly about getting wasted and partying...then "having a fresh new start"? thats messed up in my opinion...does anyone agree?...what are your thoughts on new years?...what are your traditions...?
