Personally I would choose free school, unless your connections are excellent and you have a clear line on a really good job, preferably one where you can get a degree at the same time as working. "Some job" doesn't sound like it would really cut it.

Either way, you want to avoid the scenario where three years down the line you wish you had made the other choice.

Academic life has its particular challenges, like dealing with uninformed opinions, but should be positive and character-building overall. US Navy discipline should stand you well - remember that college is what you make of it. From my own experience, (a) focus on something that really interests you not what anyone else suggests, (b) change your mind/your courses early if you seem to be on the wrong track, (c) don't overload yourself academically - socializing/networking is a very important part of college/university, (d) be sure to check out campus extra-curricular activities.

Education is important, think of what you would really like to do for the rest of your life job wise and decide if it's something that you really want to do, don't get stuck in a dead end job that has no future, I'm sure that you are still young so get that degree, you want to be able to provide for your family one day.

Well, everyone knows that being a responsible person can get very tiresome and taking a vacation from it can be fun and exciting, so if you can discipline yourself to get back on the ball after a time of relaxing then I would say go ahead and take a little bit of 'me' time, then get back in there and go to school and become the person you need to be.
Thanks for serving our wonderful country, it's people like you that make us great.

Get your degree if you can. That's what I did when I got out of the Navy.

"some job" just won't do. Take advantage of the free education!!! What do you like to do? What are your hobbies and interests? Try to take a course of study on what appeals to you so you will be happy in it. If you take "some job" you'll probably make little over minimum wage and struggle all your life.

Do whatever you want. Did you like the military?? Alot?? If so, go back. If not, stay and get a job. I'm sure that whatever you decide, will be the right thing for you. Good Luck!

yes, go to school BUT think clearly what you think makes YOU (and nobody else) happy, think for you, what gets you excited, what do you like the most, what do you love or enjoy doing, and no matter what that might be (as long as it doesnt involve anything illegal or harming and damaging others or yourself) what drives you crazy?? what makes your skin crumble in a good way, if you yet dont know dont worry, im sure itll come to you clearly when the time is right. good luck.

Go to school.
Education gives job opportunity.
And it gives job security as well.
