There is various different belief in Christianity. The biggest of course is believing that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Also many believe that God is the one that eternal being who exists as three distinct, eternal, and indivisible persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ the eternal Word), and the Holy Spirit.

Christians also believe in death and ressurection, as they thought that after Jesus was killed, he was brought back as an even greater being that would watch his people from the heavens.

Some of the major beliefs in Christianity is that we believe..

to start with the basics, is we believe that there is a God.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, for whosoever believeth in him shall not parish but have everlasting life.
basically that means that God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for the penalty of our sins!

We do believe that if you do not accept Jesus into your heart then you will go to hell.
All you have to do is confess to him that you are a sinner and that you believe that he died for your sins and that he rose again! That's it! that's all!! and one misconception is that we get to heaven by good works! that is NOT true! we ALL fall short of God's glory! all of us deserve to go to hell but God was merciful and loving enough to die for us!

I could write so much more but i have to go i am sorry i hope this helps!

that Jesus Christ was the awaited Messiah prophecied in the Jewish Holy Scripture of the time; that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; that Jesus was crucified, died and was buried and rose again from the dead to ascend into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father-God, and that He will come again at which time all the living and the dead will be judged and will either live eternally with Him or not.

The Basic premis is that Man is flawed and full of sin.

All sin and this sin taints man, preventing him from entering heaven.

It was decided that God would send his only son to Earth who would suffer on the cross and die so that the sin of man can be forgiven and they can enter God's kingdom.

But forgivness cannot be given if it is not asked, and so, the acceptance of Jesus being your only savior who's blood cleanses you clears your path to heaven.

Christianity in a Nut Shell

How about I just lay down on how to become a christian. That's the most important beliefs. Along with what I'm about to explain, other beliefs are often in stories, like Adam & Eve, the first two humans who sinned; Noah and the ark; Moses, who lead the isrealites to the promise land, there's lots of stories.

Anyway, I wrote this for someone who was wanting to know about becoming a christian. This is what I wrote:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The way to Christianity is kind of like a story, and you finish it yourself at the end. This is how it works:

First off, humans messed up, no one can deny that though we are basically owned by God, we have all sinned, cursed, and worshiped false idols. It even says that in the bible:

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23

This statement might not seem like that big of a deal, but there's a penalty for our sin, and It's Hell. Doing good stuff rocks, but it's not the way to heaven. You can't cover up the smallest bit of your sin by flooding your life with good deeds.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

But wait, there's more! Jesus came to earth. The price of sin is death (or Hell) but Jesus paid for that! It's amazing what happened on the cross 2000 years ago!

"But God demonstrates his love for us in this: While were still sinners, Christ [God's only son] died for us. Since we have therefore been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" - Romans 5:8-9

Time for you to finish the story. Jesus has basically already saved you, but you have to accept his ticket to heaven still! It sounds easy... and it is!

"That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." - Romans 10:9 -10

If you believe everything I just said, Satan has just lost his grip on you, and there's a party in heaven! You see, as God sits on his mighty throne, he doesn't view us as peasants. He is our father, our savior, redeemer, and friend! Again, there is a party in heaven. This message should not be taken lightly, because it it not religion. Religion is Man's attempt to reach God. This is a relationship, God's attempt to reach man!
----------------------------------------------------------------

hope that helps!

there is one God. we are to worship and praise him. creation turned on him and defied his teachings, so he sent prophets to turn the people back to him. Jesus was one of those prophets who came and made a new convenant with people. he made atonment for our sins. he was a sacrifice for us because the price of sin is death. then after his death he was reserected. Christians are different from Catholics remember. if you look at the holidays of the Catholics it becomes obvious what they believe.

The big one - homosexuality is an abomination of God so homosexuals should be treated as second class citizens. Oh yeah and Jesus the Christ is the Son of God. Oh one more. You have to "accept Jesus the Christ as your personal Savior" in order to get to Heaven.
