Please be honest. Do you become defensive naturally when meeting certain races? I personally have a love for all people, but all people don't feel this way. I can get defensive when it comes to discrimination ( I am a black female). But... if you're good to me I will be good to you.

I try to judge on the way they treat me. I am human and sometimes find myself prejudging some people. I live in an area that is full of illegal immigrants and it is sometimes hard not to judge on the basis of culture or race. But as I said before I do try to reserve my opinion until I know someone.

By both. How someone treats me may affect how we deal with each other, at that time. But culture (family, religious, communal) will affect how people treat others, eventually, always. As will how they have been treated. So in all human dealings I tread with alertness, but with no assumptions. In a long life I've found few individuals I did not like and learn from, or at least have compassion and sympathy with. Except for fundamentalists of all kinds who were not open to discussion; and they are easily dismissed and avoided, unless they force conflict.

I find myself a bit wary of others, at least at first, for the most part. I don't believe race has much to do with it anymore, although I'm still VERY cautious around muslims. Which is weird, because the only muslims I've ever known personally seemed like nice people. Media is a powerful thing.

I go by how I'm treated and really don't understand racists. Many of the biggest haters of people with darker skin are the ones that go on trips to places with hot temperatures every winter and lay in the sun for hours to try to get darker. I won't even try to make sense of that . I sure can't, it's crazy.

my sense of smell comes into play first. if someone reeks of body odor or perfume or aftershave i immediately judge them too stinky to be near.

other than that it's how a person looks at me, the expression in their eyes. if i see openness and a chance of acceptance i'm more than pleased to return the smile.

I have friends from many races, it's in the way they treat me, and what we have in common. There are good and bad in all races.

My true judgement of others is based solelty on my interactions and experience with them. Everything else is subjective, opinion, non-reality, etc.

I judge others based on how they carry themselves. Color or creed has nothing to do with it at all.
