I realize this is a rather vague question, so I'll try to explain: I teach English to mainly adult students, one to one lessons. They are all non-native speakers of varying levels and abilities. I want to be able to teach, one-to-one, to all levels and abilities. I try a lot of eliciting answers rather than giving, conversation practice, native culture and natural speaking methods. Anyone have any other ideas?

A previous post asked why non-Christians answer Christian posts....

So, here was a question about what God means to you. In the question there was no actual reference to the Christian God, though it was implied.

If Christians wish to avoid responses from non-Christians, why don't they stop assuming that "God" simply means the Christian God. There are quite a few religions that have a "God", that don't happen to be Christian. Perhpas in recognizing that the Christian God is simply one of many in this world, properly identifying yourselves might just avoid some confusion.

in the NT bible it says that after jesus was crucified he went to hell for three days then rose again.

why did God send jesus to hell? did jesus need to learn something, or did they make a mistake in the translation???

I believe there is God/Allah
I believe Jesus came to earth as man so the world wouldn't be damned to Hell
I believe it is wrong to condemn people because of religion or sexulality
I believe Jesus came to earth not to condemn all the religions but to transform them
I believe you have to try to love every one even though you can never forgive and forget totally

I believe it is the worst mistake with a dire set of outcomes...more children will die now :(

Yes I fully understand the victims want him dead..but killing is still wrong...by example.

no one questions when i say more children will die now..... and i didnt say give him his killing job back...jeez, think about it... i mean, we have as a world just told people, killing is ok if the reason is good enough....

Sorry... that is irrational and wrong... angrily correct but in reality, wrong.

Over the past decade, it appears as if American's have become a morally bankrupt society full of uncompassionate people. The other day someone told me Jews believe reincarnation, which I'm pretty sure is flat-out wrong. But I'm also pretty sure they don't subscribe to the Christian view of Heaven/Hell. So what exactly is the Jewish view of an afterlife, if there is one?

The New Testaments were not written by people born decades after Jesus died. They were written by fair and balanced news reporters who followed Jesus around with tape recorders and printing presses and other forms of accurate speech recording technology besides word of mouth.
