Over the past decade, it appears as if American's have become a morally bankrupt society full of uncompassionate people. It appears that everyone likes the violence, they buy violent video games for their kids, cheer the hanging of saddam, jump for joy at the execution of a criminal. It's like america has become a nation full of people who thrive on death and destruction.

Yeah, we be hard. Our kids have been told that its cool to look and act like Crip or Blood or like they just got released from the joint. Hip-hop blares violence, sexism, racism and free floating resentment and hate from 5000w stereos , night and day.
Our pop icons have vilified traditional Western European and Judeo Christian values and embraced Che and Fidel as heros. Just look at the filth on this site.

Its not that hard to figure out.

That is so far from the truth. You can not judge all on the basis of a few. Americans are the first to offer government aide and non profit aide to countries that need it. We feed people across the globe as well as give medical care. Americans forgive more loans to third world countries than any other country. You choose to focus on the negative without any regard to the positive.

May I remind you there are Muslims celebrating his death as well. Perhaps you were never effected by him, but those that were are happy he is gone. We have that right and it does not make us morally bankrupt. Perhaps you should question your lack of ability to take a stand against tyrants and those that torture. He killed his own people, Muslims as well, Iranians, and Kuwaiti people. Or have you forgotten the raping pillaging and torture he did for decades?

The main reason why people cheer when a criminal such as saddam gets killed is because they commited crimes and deserve to suffer. If a rapist gets the death penalty I'd "jump for joy" because I know there is one less rapist, roaming the streets. America doesn't thrive on death an destruction. You should really look at other countries, Pal.

No. I do not believe so. We should not generalise. Violent video games do not mean anything. I play it myself but I will never never ever kill or even injure anyone in real life. However I feel that cheering the execution of Saddam is wrong. He is a human like everybody else. Revenge does nothing. We should learn forgiveness.
