Evolutionary theory declares that everything has a mere appearance of design. Richard Dawkins is probably the leading proponent of evolutionary theory.

Dawkins writes: Biology is the study of complicated things that give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose.

He goes on to say: ..the living results of natural selection overwhelmingly impress us with the appearance of design as if by a master watchmaker...

Nevertheless, Dawkins is an atheist who staunchly maintains that the design we see is merely an illusion -- that these amazingly complex systems are an accidental product of natural selection.

Interestingly, in all other fields of human endeavor we find that "design necessitates a designer." Thus, design detection methodology is a prerequisite for many disciplines, including archaeology, anthropology, etc.

Because of the metaphysical implications of life resulting from "Intelligent Design", a surprisingly large number of us seek to reject the foregoing statements and find a mechanism by which complex biologic machines may arise naturally by random chance.

However, I was now seeing a tremendous inconsistency...

When it comes to the origin of life there are only two possibilities: creation or spontaneous generation. There is no third way. Spontaneous generation was disproved one hundred years ago, but that leads us to only one other conclusion, that of supernatural creation. We cannot accept that on philosophical grounds; therefore, we choose to believe the impossible: that life arose spontaneously by chance!

Favorite: Hark the Herald Angels Sing because it was sung on a "Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's a Wonderful Life"

Least favorite: Tie between "I'll be home for Christmas" because at the end of the song, it's depressing bc the person really isn't going to home for Christmas and "Baby, it's cold outside"-- seems like a politically correct song that avoids any mention of Christmas. Please don't have a cow-- everyone, you included, can chime in. Merry Christmas!

I would like to hear some various viewpoints from

people from all walks of life please ! Thanks.

"In my opinion, there is No denying that for most

of us, the main object of our anger and frustra-

tion is other fellow human beings. Until we

all learn to interact with others in a way that is

Not tainted by negative mental factors, and

strong negative emotions, such as anger and

hatred, No genuine development and cultiva-

tion of Pattience can ever take place !!

There is an excellent book out, that I have

read Four times, and try my best to put

into practice daily, it is called:

"Working with Anger !" It is written by a

woman with lots of intuitive insight. Her

name is Thubten Chodron. It teaches how to

develop and cultivate Patience daily. It's

encouraging and uplifting, as well!

Thanks for all your input !!!

And happy holidays to all of you & your family!

Harold Marowitz, an atheist physicist, created mathematical models by imagining broths of living bacteria that were superheated until all the complex chemicals were broken down into basic building blocks. After cooling the mixtures, Marowitz used physics calculations to conclude that the odds of a single bacterium reassembling by chance is one in 10 to the power of 100,000,000,000. Wow! How can I grasp such a large statistic? Well, it's more likely that I would win the state lottery every week for a million years by purchasing just one ticket each week.

Hmmmm....Dawkins theory of intelligent design is just as bad too.... more coming.

Assume you came from another planet, or lived somewhere where you never heared of the bible, the koran or any holy book. Would you have any trouble with the theory of evolution? What would your objections be?
___ I am just trying to find out if there are any reasons(other than religious reasons)that make some people object to evolution.Do they really find the theory 'illogical'? or is it a matter of pride(me son of ape? noooo!) or a matter of knowing false or incomplete information about the theory?.____
Thanks for sharing your opinion. And please stick to the subject of the question (stating your specific objections to that specific theory) and dont turn it to a Science VS Faith diatribe. Thanks.

papya book found and bought in Egypt Said to tell Judas' version of the crucifixion of Jesus It is only by faith that we can accept the version told in the Bible. It is difficult to accept that Judas was not forgiven for betraying Christ. How in the world would anyone accept such a horrible fate? I do not know alot about it's content. And I have questioned a very learned Priest and received a very pat answer in which there was no forgiveness for Judas.
