Every time I (try to) quit smoking, I always feel as if the last cigarette just HAS to be perfect. The thoughts going through my head, the music that I hear in the background, the things that I do immediately before and after the cigarette, etc.

If you were in my shoes, what would you want that last thought to be, right as the last of the smoke leaves your lungs on you VERY LAST puff?

It's said to be the time when people are nicer than normal but I have only ever seen the opposite. It brings out the worst in people.

What is so important that everyone has to be in such a rush all the time and courtesy toward others goes straight out the window? City streets and parking lots that normally have next to no people, are congested and no one is willing to let anyone else go where they need to go. So something that normally takes you 5-10 mins now takes you closer to an hour at the least.

I was wondering, with all the technology and advances we have today, it may be easier fr kids to access informaton that might intentionally or unintentionally (such as an ad telling you to finish your shopping) tell them Santa is not real.

I stopped believing in Santa at 4 years old when my older brother recieved a map of the USA and said "I know Mom got me this" (educational toys on Christmas).

I alwasy thoguht Christmas would've been more magical if I had believed in Santa- although that didn't stop alot of the fun.

How old are you children and do they believe?

I have grown up with racist grandparents and relatives. My immediate family is not racist at all. I am disgusted and hate to sit in on conversations with racial slang, jokes, or derogatory statements. What should I say to my grandmother/just let her go and ignore her? He's known for over 3 years and just won't accept it. I've tried having him read books, offered to go to counseling with him with no luck. He refuses. What does the ordeal of Phineas Gage tell us about human behavior? The soul? Accountability? I'm curious as to what you really think about what this shows about human nature. What if someone has a brain imbalance for some other reason? What is a "balanced" brain anyway? If Phineas Gage had been BORN with this brain problem, should he go to hell for his actions? What if every sinner has a similar problem? Help me out here.

I finally figured this out. Santa Claus is actually an employee of the American government paid to make and buy toys to distribute to little kids on Christmas Eve as a goodwill gesture.

He gets all his benefits; medical, dental, 401, pension (but why would he need one).

Anyone agree with me on this?

NOTE: This is merely out of humor and I don't really believe in the physical Santa.
