seems your goal is to have no goals. you know kinda like if we decide not to decide we still have made a choice.if you are truelly not happy with your life only you have the power to make changes. we all have purpose, somedays mine is just to try to get my house clean. if i really feel like crap i have to make myself get up, tell myself okay i'm just going to put the dishes away that might be all i actually get done but usually i then feel a little better and find i can get something else done. sometimes i actually wind up getting alot accomplished, but if i sit there in my comfort zone and refuse to start because starting is uncomfortable i wind up feeling really miserable, depressed and pretty worthless because then all i can do is worry about all i should do.it's a matter of comfort zones, you can stay in your old wore out one feeling bad or you make yourself get up and do just that first thing every day to get you started. in doing so you will create a new comfort zone and yes you will be comfortable in it. this will take a little adjusting to but i promise you your rewards will be worth it.you will feel a little more confident each step of the way.start with just one short term goal long term goals can come later. take baby steps at first so as not to become overwhelmed. you will succeed, hang in there!!!!!

First of all you need to take some time and really think about what you want to be different in your life.

Don't muck about; sit down and write down a clear description of yourself and your life in (say) five years. What are you doing, where are you living, have you travelled, do you have a partner, children, pets?

Now look at where you are. Start planning on what you need to get from the "now-you" to the "in-the-future-you".

The clearer your picture of the future-you, the easier it is to sort out what you need to do. Break it down into achievable tasks.

Remember that life changes and so don't set yourself up to fail with unrealistic goals and don't beat yourself up when things don't go according to plan.

A big lesson I learned is don't get suckered into other people's expectations for you. If you want to be poor but happy artist, don't go study to be a doctor.

Figure out what's important to you and make that your goal, but don't hesitate to enjoy the path along the way. Maybe you aren't happy because you don't fit in with the world you live in. Find your own way to be happy and life will take meaning again. Good luck.

Okay, you asked. No jokes...just plain old advice on how to get started on giving your life purpose.

Help somebody. Volunteer to visit old people in a nursing home. Volunteer to work in a soup kitchen or homeless shelter.

You are unhappy because you are too focused on you. Give some of yourself to others and you will discover purpose.

...and don't just do it once and expect a miracle. DO it. When you feel like eating, and it isn't mealtime, get up, get out and find someone to give youself to. You will feel better than you ever could have imagined.

Now, logoff the computer and get out there.

Good luck and God bless.

Maybe you are suffering from depress. Try setting some goals in life. Sence you are on yahoo try setting a goal of anwering five questions a day or moving up a level. Then reward yourself with something that you want. Not being rude-but you like to eat so reward yourself with a treat like an ice cream cone. Try talking to other people on the web- make small goals and move on to bigger goals with bigger rewards-that's your motivaiton. Hope I helped. Let me know how it gose.

If you are a Christian, you have a purpose, first is to love your God, second, to love the others. Happiness is in you and not outside you, the moment you do good things for others honestly, the moment the happiness is in your heart. .

What are your likes, your dislikes? Do you enjoy helping people? Sometimes when you are feeling down it helps to reach out to others and take the focus off yourself. It can really put things in perspective.
