Is the biblical concept of Hell an actual physical place or is it just a "symbolic" idea. What is it really like there??? Fire, brimstone, torture, gnashing of teeth, etc???? I know that there have been supposed accounts from people who had near death experiences of something really terrible, but I haven't heard too many. There also was the account of the children of Fatima who supposedly trembled uncontrollably after being shown a glimpse of Hell. Is it actually something like Dante's inferno or something all together different? Can anyone suggest any websites, books, movies, or video games that might give an accurate potrayal? Thanks.

I would love to see him there....so If I yelled at him and did his sorry face and noises, then we baptized him and prayed for Jesus to come save him......what do you think?? I know everyone there would love sammy! He is a golden Labrador retriever.

I was at a christmas party this past weekend and noticed the brunt of most of the jokes were aimed at a man that was about 5 foot 4. The man handled the jokes quite well, but I found it annoying that this group of guys did not have anythingelse to talk about. I also found the jokes to be somewhat offensive since I am a short women (5 foot 1, although none of the jokes were aimed at us short women) Anyone know why men seem so judgemental of short men? This is not a physical attribute that can be changed like weight, yet short men are teased and picked on just as much, if not more, than fat men. Just curious as to why people think short jokes are so funny. :)

I've heard that when someone's barn burned down, all the neighbors would have a barn raising. They supplied the wood, the manpower and even the women would all donate a dish and they'd make a party of it. Do you think in general people today have the same empathy for their neighbor?

Why is this on the front of words like paraplegic, parachute, paranoid, paranormal, paralysed,

someone said it means painless hence the paralysed and parachute, but doesnt explain all the others.

I dont wanna know what it means in other languages, unless its directly relevant to why its used in english if you dont mind. Only a coherant explanation of why its used infront of the words i mentioned.

sorry to be fussy, but someone in the past had this question on here and all the answers (ironiclly) didnt answer the question.
