It's a lifestyle, and you shouldn't get into it just because you think it's 'cool'. And, no, it's not wrong as far as I know.

Some of the most attractive men I've seen are gothic and the women are beautiful. The subculture is wonderfull and very insightful. Goths have very open minds and extremely large perspectives. I love to be around them. and I also love being apart of the subculture. Its not about being cool, goths dont spend their days trying to look and be cool. Their own personal style comes naturaly to them and they dont have to watch videos and the fasion chanel in order to develope their own taste.
I hate when people call it a scene or a fashion statement, because its far from those. I also very much dislike this little emo craze thats been giving the goth culture a bad name.
Goths aren't depressed and suicidal, they're not all into death and gloom not all of them are going through issues. Goths are actually very friendly, positve, happy people.
The style may be popular these days, but if you walk up to any of these fashion freaks and ask them about there taste in music or what goth means to them, they wont have a clue. if you ask them about gothic bands, I bet you they'll say my chemical romance ahhhhhhh!

The Goth style is very popular these days. Everyone considers it as a Style now unstead of a Religion. I myself wear the Goth look. If you consider clothes from Hot Topic "Goth." Anywho, It can get annoying sometimes when you have 50 million preps in your face asking you why you wear it. But yeah, It's cool.

I dont see it as cool or wrong. #1. Its not for me to judge.

How can it be wrong...it is just an off shoot of musical culture. I live in a really hot area - there are about 3 goths in the city, they have to hang out in the cold section of the supermarket so there makeup doesn't melt. We find them amusing.

It is cute until you go too far with it. It is not cool to dwell on negative things and death. It is cool to dress up and explore different facets of your identity. If parents are a problem try compromises like temporary hair color that washes out and clothes that they approve. Keep music noise down when they are around and let them watch the Anime too.

I cant say its rong....I will say I think most Goths are depressed/dealing with some tough issues in their life. I don't think it's cool, but I've known some cool ppl who were "goth". Still it's not cool to hate life.

Nothing wrong with it, few of my friends are goths and i love hanging out with them.
