There seems to be a few reasons why the Mormons are rejected in Christianity. First, God is without out flesh and bone in most christian religions, but in Mormons believe that he was once like a man. Second, the trinity of the Mormon religion describes God as being seperate beings. The other religions believe that the trinity is one and whole. If you want to know a little more try looking at this website . Ihope this helps you a little bit. Also, I personally have nothing against Mormons, actually some of my best friends are Mormons. If you have any Baptist, Lutheran, or Catholic friends have a religious debate with them.

The Mormons are wonderful , Christians and they work so hard to save people. They are the Best Missionaries in the entire world. Yes you are wonderful, good people and Truely from God. There are many nasty , people and many times I have worried about the Missionaries. I am not a Mormon, but have Great Respect for them. Be strong and remember that satan is on a rampage and tries to destroy the word of God.

I'm a Christian and I don't hate Mormons. I hate that Mormons believe lies and are therefore deceived. I hate that you guys believe we have to know a secret handshake to enter into Heaven and if we don't know it Jesus won't let us in. I hate that if you believe that is really true you aren't out on the streets preaching it as fact. I hate that you wait until someone proves themselves "temple worthy" to share that "knowledge." I hate that anyone believes that underwear can give them special powers to reach others. So many things that are just TOO FAR OUT THERE for me to buy into it!
The gift of salvation is so simple. It's complicated religions like LDS that make it hard for anyone to accept the gospel and hinder many from finding real truth.
I would have no argument that you guys are good people. I've known quite a lot of you. Your love and respect for family and community are to be lauded. Unfortunately being "good" doesn't give one the keys to the Kingdom of God.

It has to do alot with the trinity and some other things. But really, I am mormon and I believe in Jesus Christ. To me, that makes me Christian. I know what I believe and I stick by it, despite the persecution and hatred I encounter every day. If people think I am not Christian, why should I really care? In the end, it doesnt matter what other people labled me as. It is God's right to judge, not anyone else's. People can say I am not Christian, but to me hatred, persecution, judgement and resentment makes a person un-Christian.

Much of Christiandom would rather throw their darts at Mormonism because they are afraid of learning something that could dash their own belief systems.
Many choose to stay in ignorance rather than to dispel the many myths and terrible, slanted stories about Joseph Smith and the Church.
So long as the Church stays--and it most certainly will stay through the Millenium--there will be people castigating the members, the doctrine, and the Church itself because of the influences of Satan on them. Being a stiffnecked generation is what it's all about.

Not hate. Mormons are very good people. Just way too controlling of their members day to day lives and exclusionary of those who aren't members. And their ever-shifting core beliefs. Polygamy was divinely sanctioned until it became a stumbling block to Utah statehood. Bingo.. revelation.. polygamy is now bad. Blacks were tainted souls until BYU needed running backs to stay competetive in Div I football. Revelation.. blacks are our brothers now. The list goes on...
It's a made up religion. Not recognized by the World Council of Churches as a legitimate Protestant denomination.

The teachings of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon are heretical against fundamental Christian teaching. Traditional Christianity is so radically different from Mormon tradition, that we find two vastly different religions, not two branches of the same tree.
Traditional Christianity is Monotheistic- Only One God, no goddess (AT ALL), no generations of "gods". Humans NEVER become gods. Ever! Jesus, after His crucifixion and ressurection, ascended to Heaven AND IS STILL THERE. He has not yet returned to earth.
Mormonism is Polytheistic- "God" is one of a line of "gods", and has a goddess-wife. She constantly bears Him children: some become angels, some become humans, some become demons. Humans have a choice on earth: to become good Mormons, and so "ascend" to become gods and goddesses, or to be cast into hell with the demons. Those who become gods and goddesses will be given their own planet to rule- one god, one planet! The Mormon Jesus was the first child of Jehovah and his goddess. He was physically concieved when Jehovah took on flesh to have sex with Mary, a virgin living in Galilee. After His crucifixion and ressurection, He married and had kids. He then ascended into Heaven, then "touched down" on earth in North America, supposedly to preach to some of the tribes here.
Any questions? Mormons may use some of the same names, and try to appropriate some of the "proper" geneologies and Jewish customs, but MORMONISM IS NOT CHRISTIANITY. It is a different religion entirely!
It isn't right to hate anybody, btw.

It is un-Christian to hate anyone, but the mormon religion is wrong. Believing in Jesus is not enough...the demons believe in Jesus, does that make them Christian? There is one and only way to heaven - Jesus. You don't get your own planet in heaven, you don't become a god, and drinking pepsi, beer or coffee will not keep you from heaven. Don't take my word for it...investigate it! Get a King James Bible, pray that God will grant you wisdom in your pursuit of truth and then dive right in.
Good luck and God bless.

All their hate, unbelief, ridicule and slander stems from: Satan. He knows the church is true, period. He doesn't want others to and is doing everything in his power to blind them.
Don't worry about it too much, there will always be opposition as long as he has the power to tempt. Just stay true to what you know and the Lord will bless you for your efforts.
