To Christianity it means nothing new. To evolution it means "we gotta find something else-they have found out that Lucy was just a chimp that we mixed some human bones with".
3.3 million years???-I would like to see the data supporting that.

Not much.

Certainly the physical vehicle of our humanity could have evolved over millions of years.

There is much evidence for various types of hominids of various degrees of development, from tens of thousands of years ago to millions of years ago.

Adam and Eve would have occurred when God infused an immortal soul into an animal form, at some undetermined time in the past, that closely resembles the human form today.

An immortal soul gives us a rational intellect and a free-will that animals do not have.

Those are faculties that are above and beyond the powers of matter.

*sigh*

Someone still needs to look up the scientific definition of theory. Hint: it doesn't mean guess, hypothesis, or something we pulled out of our ***.

I think it's another important step in the evolutionary chain - a fantastic discovery, probably the most important archeological discovery of the last 50 years.

It might not be 3.3 million years old. There's a lot wrong with our dating methods, but I'm too lazy to explain.

Evolution is still just theory. Besides, if man evolved from apes and evolution is an ongoing process, never ending, continuous, don't you think there would still be Cromagdon (bet I misspelled that one) man walking the earth?

It's one more piece of the puzzle for evolution.

For religion, it is meaningless. Those who chose to be blind willl continue to be blind by choice.

You seem to have been deceived by the evolutionists, friend....Nothing is 3 million years old.; and there is no proof of that age. Dating methods are highly unreliable.

absolutely nothing.
Until we either can accurately date something or totally confirm the identity without hypothesizing, maybe I will join the critic's club.
