SHOULD I HIDE WHEN I GET TO HEAVEN? I'm confused on this subject. This scares me that you can be soooooooooo horrible and still go to heaven if you "find" God. I would think he would be burning in hell regardless, I would hate to see him there.

Issiah 53:10
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand

53:10 "He shall see his seed." The Hebrew word for "seed", used in this verse, always refers to physical descendants in Scriptures e.g., Gen. 12:7; Gen. 15:13; Gen. 46:6; Ex. 28:43. A different word, generally translated as "sons", is used to refer to spiritual descendants (see Deut. 14:1, e.g.).

so how could this verse be talking about Jesus?

I have a friend who lets her young children answer the telephone. The youngest is 4 the other 7. When they answer they like to play around before they give their parents the phone. These children know me well. Yesterday when I called the 7 year old answered, she knew it was me, but she kept saying my name over and over. I finally just hung up. I am very annoyed by this; so much that I don't want to call anymore. I have mentioned this subject in a general way to the parents but they did not pick up on the hint. I should also add that these children are not very disciplined. Anyone have any feelings on this subject?

99% of this place pisses me off. You all give half-***/ baked answers. I ask real questions and people just try to put me down for it. We need some sort of test and place where people with real answers can go. Agree?

like if you're jewish, do you support 613 mitzvot?

if you're christian, do you support having a nation that takes all laws into consideration with the Bible?

if you're muslim, do you support shariah?

i'm christian, and i'm secular. i don't support religion in government. so overall no, i don't support religion in the government or religious law.

does anyone honestly think he would know anything about god or any other kind of modern god today? Say the person somehow survives and we are somehow able to communicate with him, do you think he'll know about god and all his miracles?

No, so thats why I say people are only religious because their parents are.

No you say? so if you were born into an Atheist family would you still belive in god? No

edit* Stop being pissants and actually try to formulate a real answer, unlike one being, "god is everywhere you tool."

I want a real answer from you people. Really think deep down, if you can. You proabably cant though.

Being smarter than 99% of the world sucks. They dont give real answers.

if you were never taught about god, or Jesus or Allah or whoever, do you think you would have come up with the idea on your own?

You go to any big-name divinity school, like Harvard or Yale, you won't find any theologians who will defend creationism. Even the Vatican supports evolution. Most theologians consider most of the Old Testament "mythish", but it's taken literally by a lot of everyday Christians.

To a certain extent, I think the fundamentalist theology is more accurate with regard to the Bible. If you're into the Bible, that is.

But why is there such a big difference between Christians you meet on the street and their leaders? It seems like the academic theologians are far more liberal.

I didn’t get anything for my birthday and I don’t think I'm getting anything for Christmas. I did say I didn’t want anything but deep down it would be nice to be surprised with something special. Is this wrong? I’m sad!
