SHOULD I HIDE WHEN I GET TO HEAVEN? I'm confused on this subject. This scares me that you can be soooooooooo horrible and still go to heaven if you "find" God. I would think he would be burning in hell regardless, I would hate to see him there.

I've read all these. Most good, some bad. I think I won't pick a best answer-I really can't so I'm gonna let this go to "voting"

Actually, the Son of Sam -has- become Christian since his incarceration. He has an outreach ministry from inside the prison, and helps other inmates convert to Christianity. Recently, he was up for a parole hearing but refused to attend because of the guilt he still feels. He's very genuine, I don't think you have anything to be afraid of.

Here is his website:

No one can say when he "found" God he was sincere. I think these types of questions scare me because your relationship with God is individual. Do I think he should go to heaven? Probably not, but who am I to judge? Good thing I am not God b/c I would have a list at the gate I would not let in.

No really, who is to say? Only God. Fundies, as we are referred to, believe in forgiveness for EVERYONE, not just the people who mildly sin, sin is sin!!!!

As for will certain people we as society deem worse than others get into the gate? Don't know . . . . again its good for mankind no one on this forum has a vote.

WHo your parents were doesnt determine what you do. It depends on his relation ship with God and Jesus, but no just because his father was a serial killer doesnt mean that he sined or did anything wrong. God looks at you as a person, not comparing you to your family or who you know . God doesnt go oh your queen elizabeths mother,, oh well then ill jsut forget everything you did wrong, sure you can come in to heaven. he Does say oh you followed me,a nd you followed the bible and you repented of all you sins, your father was a mass murderer but you are and individual so yes you can come into heaven. God looks at you as a person, at what decisions you make, and how you follow him. Not by your relatives or friends

This question also reminds me of parable found in Matthew 20:1-16; where the owner of a vineyard (this is a paraphrase) hires workers early in the morning and they agree to work for one dollar, and all throughout the day he hires more workers telling them at the end he will pay them what is fair, at the end of the day he pays all one dollar, and of course the workers who were hired early in the morning felt like they were being cheated, and like it was unfair -- being paid the same wage as some who only worked an hour or so.

And so it is with Christianity, God doesn't proclaim to be fair, but merciful and JUST.

I am amazed sometimes at the questions I see. Did it occur to anyone that possibly some of these people may be mentally ill. Perhaps they grew up in an abusive home and are products of the poison they have ingested. Perhaps if they had been given all the advantages we have had the would have been better people than us. Only God knows a mans heart and only God knows who have repented and who are trying to pull the wool over his eyes. So that being said I will leave judgment in the hands of the just and compasionate all wise God. It is enough of a task to try and remove the speck out of my own eye. God will also see through our attempts to look for excuses not to believe.

If Son of Sam became a true Christian he is in Heaven but is a new and changed person.

Hi Jenny
Yes, I believe he would if he had a TRUE change of heart.
You would not have to hide if that were the case.
Jakob's answer is great. If my belief is false, where is the line for absolution/forgiveness? The 7 deadly sins? Aren't we all in trouble if it's the 10 Commandments?

JENNY to God sin is sin.Killing is no different then hate.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
When a person ask forgiveness they must be pure in asking.
You can't ask just to be on the sake side.
You must believe with all your heart.
God is not a game,Heaven is not just a story.
I pray all men come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.\0/

God forgives the worse things. But in order to be saved and go to Heaven, one must repent of the wrong doings. Repent means to completely and totally turn from those ways not only by not doing them but by feeling so much remorse that we would never even think of doing it again. God knows our hearts and will make that judgement. Don't worry, he won't let anyone in that will hurt you. Put your trust in Him and don't worry.

If he truly became a Christian and his name wasn't in the book of life and he was destined to not be in heaven he would understand. If he did it to get a get out of jail free pass, he might be in for a shock, as would many Christians who aren't serial killers.
