It isn't right for your wife to get hit on after church. However, maybe she brings it on herself by the way she dresses or acts around other men. Is she a flirter? Do you go with her? I doubt she would get hit on if you were. No, they are not instantly forgiven. They must repent, pray, and ask for forgiveness sincerely.

I would think no, not instantly. I'm not God expert and have to think a lot of things through in the past few years. But, perhaps, if you forgive them, then they are instantly forgiven by you. I don't know how quick God is to forgive, or if a person has to repent if they want to be forgiven.

In all honesty, they should be forgiven by you. I know that can be easier said than done. But God commands us to forgive others as He has forgiven us. As for them, well that's between them and God. You can only account for yourself. Let God take care of them.
But look at it this way, you can be thankful because you have an attractive wife, and she is with you, not them. Just keep your focus on God and don't let any jealousy or insecurity get in the way of you having a happy and blessed marriage.

Randy,
Is this a true experience, or just an imagined incident, something that Hollywood, or Nashville told you happened with regularity at every church?
Did you know the word devil comes from a Greek word, diabolos, meaning a malicious slanderer ?
Instead of dealing in fantasy, wouldn't it serve you better to find out just what the true nature of things really is?

Christian guys are not immune from having lust for another woman. If they act on that, no, they are not automatically forgiven. Are you there in church with her, does she wear a ring, does she dress seductively? Depending on your answers, you may need to find a place that does not attract these loser types of guys, that hit on a married lady. How totally tacky!

Unfortunately, they already sinned by lusting. Only when they ask for forgiveness, true repentance, are they forgiven. You wife should probably stay close to you or vice versa at all times if this is an ongoing problem. Better yet, go to another one.

do not confuse being friendly with romance, but my wife was once followed by a pastor into a parking lot where he said nice things and she gracefully exited but my guess is this guy was never forgiven for anything. What I did was follow Biblical guidelines. He is no longer a pastor.

Of course not. Forgiveness comes not by simply asking, it comes with repentance, which is a change in thinking and attitude. Christian forgiveness is not a "Get Out of the Concequences of Your Actions Free" card.
In fact, God may love you enough to teach you the errors of your ways so that you may become a better person.

Who is the "they" that needs to be forgiven? Sounds like just a he... the Married guy. Doesn't sound like your wife needs forgiveness.

If they are Baptists.
Baptists are saved, having done the special incantation at the preacher's altar at some point in their lives, generally before puberty.
When you are saved, you can sin within reason, and sins of coveting your neighbors wife, or licking your neighbor's wife's neck and ear, for example, and other minor sins are instantly forgiven.
For each saved Baptist there is a free pass on Judgment Day reserved, and this a very advantageous aspect of the Baptist religion. I would encourage you to contact your local Baptist church for details. It's easy and convenient.
