Iam a single mother in college and Iam on welfare. I had to quit my job when I started school, its hard to make ends meet but Iam an honor student and I get to spend time with my baby. I get our clothes from goodwill and I would love to get her a toy and a new outfit. I know she's too young to remember this but if your a parent you'll know how bad it hurts not to be able to buy a gift on christmas.

I just read another question on AR's (assult riffles) and it appears that many of the public has no clue what that even means. They are not meant for hunting people! In california an "assult riffle" is simply a rifle with a pistol grip in a semi auto or full auto configuration. I want to know what you think "assult rifle" meant before you read this question.

What does the phrase Catch 22 mean? I know it was a book, but I never read it so I dont understand what people mean when they use it as a phrase. Sorry if its a dumb question, guess I should have read the book when I was in high school.

I converted to Catholicism in 2000 and through the RCIA process I learned that there are literally thousands of misinterpretations of Catholic beliefs. I was shocked by this. Just curious as to what others think about these false accusations against the Church (e.g. worshipping idols, praying to saints, etc.)

an older christian man was telling somebody i know once how wrong it is to drink alcohol because it harms the temple/ or the body. and right after he makes that comment he takes a draw from a cigarette???? when i heard about that i just thought it was funny, is smoking 'better' than drinking?
