as far as your prayer, it's obvious that your heart's desire is to lead a life that is pleasing in God's eyes. just be open and honest: this is my issue, i acknowledge it, i'm repenting and asking for your help in abstaining from doing such. it's as simple as that and continue to pray until you are free from that bondage.

The bible verse about "spilling your seed" did not relate to masturbation; like your sunday school teachers would like you to believe.

Read the whole story, it related to marrying your deceased brother's wife or some other marital arrangement.

There is only one problem with masturbation. You don't meet as many interesting people if you do it very often.

Look at the whole Bible, or look at the Bible as a whole.

What is God's message?

Answer:

Harmony is harmony.

Disharmony is the only sin against God.

FIrst of all masturbation is not a sin, there is not a verse that says that. 1 Corinthians Chapter 6 is talking about fornication and being impure with your body.

Now , to masturbate just for the release and satisfaction is one thing but you can not use it as an excuse to look at playboy/playgirl or porno, or lust after someone then it becomes a SIN.

That is why we are encouraged to have our own husbands/wives because we will want sexual satisfication and it is better to marry than to burn. 1 Corinthians 7: 9

Get married, replenish the earth, be fruitful and multiply. God's advice, not mine, but I agree.

I got a good one, let me find it quick...

1 corintians 6:13

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

This verse has helped me a lot. God bless!
