The Catholic Church oppreses women, condones pedophilia by priests, campaigns against condom use, even as AIDS spreads.
They also change their mind every few hundred years about whether Jesus was divine, Mary was a virgin, etc...

Why would God not reveal himself directly to us, so that all of us can be saved? Are we really supposed to follow the church? Would God really expect us to with all the hypocracy?

Mankind and animals at total peace with one another.
No more war or terrorism
Adequate housing for everyone worldwide
No more food shortages
No more sickness or diseases of any kind
The whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of our Creator.

God's Word promises these things will be a reality, so surely we can look forward to what our God will do.

I have sent in some very nice fair to dark skin avatars, with great titles, and Mine have never been chosen, what is the reason for not selecting these shades of skin color, I hope that you are not prejudice, because that would be sad. considering we are all spirit, created in the image of one God.

My spirit has felt bombarded for some reason lately, so I have been a recluse outside of mandatory activities (grocery shopping, work, tending to my kids).

I can sense other people's thoughts, emotions and intent. Some people I can see right through. It seems as if everyone is out to run all over the next person, and hardly no one has any innocent intentions. A lady whom I thought was a friend of mine wont verbally say why she is upset with me, but I have already sensed the answer and I don't need to hear it. I did nothing to her.

I told my husband many weeks ago to beware of the people at his new assignment, they were not to be trusted. He wrote me off, and was blindly excited and not cautious. Within that same week I said this to him, someone broke into his office and stole one of his professional manuals. I prayed about it, and it was returned within two weeks. No one knows who took it, or returned it.

What is wrong with people?

Thanks to those who gave their opinion on the right of Muslim women to wear the veil. I am now writing a follow up article as the veil debate seems to have spread out into the issue of whether it's ok to wear religious symbol, eg the BA worker losing her appeal to wear the cross. Do you think it is double standards?

Would love to know what you think! Cheers.

Now we may pronounce words different than the people from England but who cares. We're our own independent country. We have freedom of speech!!! We have the right to speak however we want to. Now me, personally, I'm from Texas. Born and raised. I speak differently than most americans in other states. They say that I sound "hick and southern." Well take Ireland and some of the other countries. Depending are where you are from in your country depends on what accent and what words you use. There's nothing wrong with our language at all. Wow! So the people in England think that they're better than us. That's there malfunction. No one is better than anyone. I admit that Americans are WAAAAAAYYYYY too arrogant for their own good and I admit that they should NOT have their nose in other peoples' business, but please don't try talking about us like we're "bloody" ignorant. If we're so ignorant, then why do we have so much going for us? Think about it and leave us alone.

It tells how 40% of the population blindly yields to authority. It tells how Karl Rove used commonly accepted psychological studies to manipulate them to vote for Bush. Fundamentalist Christians and conformists are the easiest to manipulate.

Did God has preserved His Word?

In the spring of 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. These manuscripts were copies of large portions of the Old Testament, a thousand years older than any other existing copies. Study of the scrolls has revealed that the Bible hasn’t changed in content down through the ages as many skeptics had surmised.
Anyone can now obtain access to computer programs that give the original Hebrew and Greek words, and the only "changes" have been made for clarity. For example, the old English translation of 2 Corinthians 12:8 is "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice ...," while a contemporary translation is "Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times..."

What do you think?

I still cant understand why the hell white people are racist after 400 years of Evil - a whole race of people being EVIL toward another race. Millions died in the most Evil ways for over 400 years... I mean: four HUNDRED years... Come on man, thats a damn long time!! Imagine what that means to modern black people with names like 'THOMAS'... that ain't a damn black name.. come on , white people! I love all people, but god damn, how can you guys still sit down in front of your TVs every night and not do anything to help a race of people that you have damn near destroyed... OK, CALM DOWN, I know it's not you personally the facts are that black people are still suffering the effects of 400 years of slavery and all the responsible white people are dead or dying then I'm sorry man but surely someone, somewhere has to shoulder some kind of responsibility - even if it is just to stop the racism (some blatant, some more subtle) that is found in all four corners of the press & daily society?

Nope, it's not what you are thinking... I mean they use the word "holiday" to REPLACE the word "Christmas." Hey, I understand saying things like "the holidays" because of the ENTIRE season, but they say things like holiday decorations, holiday gifts, holiday cards, holiday spirit, holiday lights and even... are you ready for this...? "Holiday trees." LOL. WTH is a 'holiday' tree? Ever seen a 'Holiday Tree' lot on the side of the road?

I guess saying "Christmas" means getting sued for offending a few who don't like the Christmas season or something. The usage of the word Christmas must now be banned for being so offensive to the 14% of this nation who don't celebrate Christmas, I guess. Being PC is going way overboard these days IMO.

What's your take on this? Does the C-word offend you? Are you also using the H-word in public, because you are now afraid to say the C-word?

My family goes around the table each evening at dinner to share their "High/Lows" -- the best and worst parts of their day.

While we are sitting at the R&S table, what are your religious or spiritual high/lows? What's been the best part of your spiritual journey and what has been the worst? ( Could be for the day, the week, the month, whatever... )
