I had a friend ask me to come and work out with him. I agreed to it but quickly found out that he runs late every night without and excuse or an apology and then proceeds to put earphones in his ears and listens to his MP3 player so we are unable to communicate verbally.

I'm confused. This feels to me like he's being rude but I don't know if I'm being too touchy. What is the etiquette for working asking someone to workout with you? Is this behavior acceptable?

The way a majority of people act around and on Christmas, shouldn't that be how people act all year round? Being nice to a stranger, making conversation with the cashier, smiling, shouldn't this be the all-year round theme of mankind rather than just an occasional thing? And why isn't it? Why should ultimate love and kindness amongst people be for one month out of a whole year?

Muslims and Christians are blaming each other for the woes of the world. Then you hear stuff like:

There soon will come a great war, a bloody but holy day. And after that purging, our people will be free, and sing up in the bright skies, a sun for all to see. (A song by the teenage racist girl group Prussian Blue.)

How is their philosophy so different from radical Islam? Is there a common link in all these groups that puts human life behind their ideologies? What is that common link, in your opinion?

I have seen "KKK," "Olga," and "Misshaven" all disappear today extremely quickly. Of course, until Yahoo bans their IP addresses, they will reappear under another screen name.

But do you think that the powers that be have listened to our many calls for
1) having a monitor in this section to remove the jerks quickly and
2) paying attention to our complaints and the repeated abuse to LGBT users?

That would be a good thing. I get tired of clicking on flags sometimes. :o)

It wasn't his name. His mother nor anyone who knew him ever called him Jesus. We don't call Confucious,"Charly" or Budda "Bob"

Apparently (on the Yahoo headlines), the girl that plays Mary shares "striking resemblances" with the early life of the real Mary, including..... (wait for it...)...... teen pregnancy!!! WOW! OMG! This must PROVE the existence of God! Like, OMG, a teenage girl is pregnant!! Its a freakin miracle!!!!

Must be a slow news day when a craptastic made up story like that becomes headline news.... No need to worry about the war in Iraq, the madman in North Korea or the other madman in Israel - we have the Nativity Story coming to a theatre near you!!

Doesnt anyone realize that the story of Jesus' early life was of absolutely no importance to anyone until 300+ years after his death, when they VOTED on the virgin birth and on whether or not he was God?? The entire story was made up - pilfered from the myths and legends of Mithras, who was also born a virgin and died and was ressurrected after spending three days in a cave tomb!!! But hey - who needs real history, right??

Seems to be the best answer coming back from my original question. Thanks to the scientists who patiently took the time to explain.

Tried to trace back evolution all the way, because the foundation has to be solid. The reason this question's in the religion section is that if evolution's true, then death predated sin. Death isn't caused by sin. So the premise for a need of salvation goes in the toilet: death ísn't the result of our own doing and we aren't responsible for it. So, if there's a God who created us, then he's unfair and we shouldn't waste our lives serving him.

If there is no such God who is love, then logic says we should all be self-centered and self-seeking as far as we can get away with it.

This not only offends my belief that people should conduct life with honor, but also my necessary definition of God who must be fair, just and loving. So I must believe that evolution is wrong and God exists, or that God does not exist and in the beginning there was…H?

God creates, Satan does not.

Why do religious people like to blame cocoa plants, marijuana plants, poppy plants, even cactus plants that produce mescaline, microbes and bad germs on Satan.

NOTICE TO CHRISTIAN HATERS: Im not Christian. Christian hate will be lost on me, as I am not a Christian and reject all religion.

Quran 48:13 YUSUFALI: And if any believe not in Allah and His Messenger, We have prepared, for those who reject Allah, a Blazing Fire! http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/048.qmt.html

Yep, I know Christian haters, the bible does the same thing...(pats em on the pc head of theres) good now? Ok, now heres the fun part, you see, the whole theory of Islam is, that Muhammad came to restore God's true will.

Allah was so jealous that Jesus had such high status, he sent a man, and only a man, to bring a a new and fixed scripture that wouldnt be corrupted this time, as he let it get corrutpted before.

So if Muhammad was just a man, as opposed to bad ole Jesus, then why send people to hell for believeing only in Allah and not Muhammad?

"Off to hell! You believed in me and were good, but you didnt properly accept Muhammad. Buuu bye!"
