Well there is a little story behind that.
I spent the better part of last night, pontificating and wrestling (verbally, not the usual oiled up fun way) on Y!A forum.
Out of pure frustration I posted links to kkk/olga/pink posts from that day and bitched that they go after small stuff like "point gaming" or chatting and let threats of violence, racism, homophobia sit there for days before it is dealt with (if at all).
Within 10 minutes of posting, those post disappeared. Today someone else jumped in with two more offending questions. and they too were removed.
This requires effort to get them removed, but it sure beats doing nothing, or worse, egging the homophobes on with answers to their hate/threatening questions. By doing this, their ID is closed down, not just the question removed. They of course will set up another ID, but they will tire of setting up accounts for bigotry to only stand 5 minutes.
Use that function only for most serious abuse, kkk/olga/pink abuse, not for every minor homophobe that stumbles in. If you over use it on trivial stuff, then the system of quick disposal will disappear.
For minor fools, use RAMO =report abuse move on

Here's what actually happened:
Yesterday Puffy started a new thread in the Y!A forum and got some of these posts removed that way. Some others got more removed on the same thread today.
Apparently it is a different group of monitors on the forum and they respond much more quickly.
Probably best to reserve this for the major abuses and let the harmless ones slide.
Now you can RAMO with confidence
the abusive post will be quickly removed.
And as for you closet trolls,
your game will be up soon
too because your posts will
be removed along with
the abusive question.
For more on closet trolls and the part
they play in this mess see my posts here

We're simply going to have to set up a united front---GLBT, straights, celibates, the whole bunch of us!---if the cultures/society area is EVER going to get cleared up. This section USED to be interesting; now, it's a free-fire zone for hatred and viciousness.
!f you're sick of the offensive slurring of all types _that clearly violates Yahoo's community guidelines and terms of service_, don't talk to the troll. Don't argue with it, don't insult it (no matter how tempting!), don't post a frustrated "what are we going to do about Troll XYZ?" question. Remember that trolls FEED ON THE ATTENTION.
Just silently RAMO---report abuse, move on. Don't even leave a "reported" comment, to avoid getting clocked with a possible "point gaming" violation, or possible troll retaliation. Just keep playing "Stealth Whack-a-Troll", and mark the items on your watchlists.
I'm not even bothering RAMOing Yahoo for "trivial" stuff like chatting, "not a question/answer", and similar----preferring to focus on hate speech issues. Don't want CC to have small stuff on their plate---just the big junk.

For me, I went off the pill in March '09 i imagine. My classes were abnormal, with a short luteal section when I went off the pill. i became down by way of the indisputable fact that meant getting pregnant must be not difficulty-free (a minimum of preserving a being pregnant early on must be not difficulty-free). i keen to not wait to confirm a reproductive endocrinologist and went to a naturopath after 3 months of stressing about my cycles (to confirm an RE the following, you'll were attempting for an complete year). WOW! after a month of changing my eating routine, getting on perfect supplementations (I had a mild thyroid imbalance and occasional protein absorption) and placing out to meditate back, my cycles regulated. I went away for 2 cycles, for paintings in spite of the indisputable fact that the month I were given decrease back to city, I were given pregnant!! So i wager it took 4 months yet absolutely one cycle after my hormones and each and every thing balanced out with the nutritional adjustments. Oh, i wager I ought to assert that i became employing the BBT technique. i became having temperature adjustments at ovulation even earlier going to confirm the naturopath yet under no circumstances more advantageous than .4'F and as i discussed, the LP became short (absolutely between 9-eleven days). when I said the naturopath, the temperature adjustments were about .8'F and my LP prolonged to 14-16 days!!!

i hope so i have been reporting them everytime ive seen their offensive questions. but yea they did get deleted extremley quickly (knock on wood) i didnt notice till you pointed it out. i guess all we can do is keep reporting till they ban ips. but the best way to make them loose intrest in my opinion is to just ignore their questions and just report them instead of answering. they just get satisfaction seeing our anger cause they dont have lives like that.
I wouldnt be surprised if they were some bitter nerdy acne ridden guys that cant get girls.
and about them having free speech, free speech isnt insulting someone. would you be ok w/them saying that stuff to other people (or even you) in real life?

I agree! I'm on this part of Y!A everyday and olga, pinkbox and the other trolls are on here atleast once a day, but they always come back. Y!A should have a personal monitor for this section to keep igorant bigots and trolls out of here. Until Y! bans their IP adresses they will just keep coming back.

Free clue for those who think they have unlimited free speech rights on Q/A: This is a private system with Terms of Service (i.e., rules) that you agreed to abide by when you signed up to use Yahoo. Don't like the rules? Then go hang out on a different server with rules that are more to your liking.
