The way a majority of people act around and on Christmas, shouldn't that be how people act all year round? Being nice to a stranger, making conversation with the cashier, smiling, shouldn't this be the all-year round theme of mankind rather than just an occasional thing? And why isn't it? Why should ultimate love and kindness amongst people be for one month out of a whole year?

THANK YOU! This is the biggest gripe I have with Christmas. It sickens me to hear that it is "that time of year again to give give give to your local charities!" BS!! People starve during the middle of summer too....try helping out your fellow man all year long, not just when its "that time of year."

But then again, Im an atheist, What the F do I know about morals and living a righteous life?

I have no idea- on the other hand people are more short tempered-short on patience, ever stood in line for 10 minutes and have someone cut in front of you because they just can not wait another moment to be helped? Ever tried to get a parking space a the mall? It is enough to make a person dislike Christmas for the commercialized aspect.

Because people are so caught up in their own life to think of others. I really hate when I go to the store and smile at someone and they just look grumpy. I guess when others are miserable and hate their life they take it out on everyone. I agree that people should be nice all the time.

Really? All I see around the holidays is a bunch of selfish and rude behavior from people in public. I think people get even NASTIER during the holidays.

Christmas is not about religion. It is over-indulgence and commercialization. Thank God they don't impose it on others twelve months every year!!!!

I agree with you, but I think we'd all go insane if all year stores played non-stop Christmas songs.
