To those who don't want religion taught to kids, not even by their parents in their own homes, I have a question.

Is your problem only with Christianity, or with all religions? Would you be as up in arms and screaming "brainwashing" if I were a Jewish woman who wanted to raise her son Jewish, including sending her son to Hebrew school. OR if I were a Wiccan and wanted to teach my kids my religion. Would these be "brainwashing" and "forcing" or do you only think that way about Christianity?

I ask because everytime I see the topic of teaching kids religion, the term brainwashing always comes up in connection to Christianity. Thank you for your responses.

I just want to know. Because i recently told a person i trusted that I was bi. She went and told my best friend..who now ignores me, this hurt me very deeply. There were times that i didn't even want to get out of bed. And my mom's really not helping, she knows but she denies it, if i ever actually come out to her, she'll throw me out of the house. I have some friends at school that support me, (mainly because my school is basically a school for gay and bi people) but there were more friends that left than supported me, and i feel like everyone hates me now. ecspecially my mom. So is it really that bad..being bi?

Here's the deal: I've been fantasizing about being with a woman for years. Ony sexually, though. I'm in a committed, long-term relationship with a man. I told him when we first met that i'd thought about being with a girl but dismissed it as a phase. I haven't told him that i've been obsessed with this.

Recently, i've been struggling to hide my curiosity. I'm extremely attracted to female I met recently. We hung out and she's the type that likes to walk through places holding hands with her friends. I felt so awkward doing this because I was attracted to her and didn't want anything to come through by us holding hands. She was rubbing my fingers while I was holding her hand and now I'm wondering what that was all about. Plus, she texts me all the

How do I bring it up to my fiance that i'm attracted to women sexually? And, if he's OK with this, how do I actually approach a girl? How do you know if a girl is bi?

The heretical, protestant apes are running amock, spreading their false gospel, and corrupting the R&S section of Y!Answers. It must not be borne! It's high time to put a stop to it. Don't you agree my fellow Saints and Catholics?

Jesus save us from those 'christian' apes!

Why do we report stuff unless its actively abusive and harrasive? And for those who don't read much

(Context)
I think I just got reported by a Christian for posting a question asking if Christians could try tactics other than screaming their lungs out at people that they are going to Hell. I would be suprised if a Pagan would find it offensive that a Christian would want to encourage others (and honestly, themselves) to speak gently and with love.

(Actual Question...to prove that there is one)

So Christians, how old are we? And what kind of Christian would report another for asking a question about how we comport ourselves, even on Answers.com. Everywhere we are, we are being judged. Our words and actions directly reflect on people's opinions of Christianity as a whole. So what would it take to help each other act with love and maturity?

Why do all those who have found, or are dedicated to a religion believe or even assume that the rest of us should follow in your footsteps?

and please don't cut and paste the bible or use quotes from the same place... Answer the question using your own evidence (note the words - your own evidence) of 'God', etc etc.

I'm an atheist in a dialogue with a Christian friend who does not accept evolution. This friend recently gave me a little book about evolution vs. creation - you know the type, with all the same arguments you have heard before. I'm reading that and preparing to talk to him about it.

Anyway, my reaction to theists handing out tracts and other literature is always to return the favor. Seems to me to be a positive way to respond to the situation. I was thinking about letting him read my copy of The Selfish Gene, but I think that may be a little too complicated for this particular person.

So I was wondering if there is any book you know of that you would recommend (other than a text book, of course) that deals with not just evolution, but more specifically evolution vs. creation? Kinda like Talk Origins Creationist Claim index in book form? Thanks!
