muslim's dont have as much a tendency to feel /or say only their way is the one true way,,,,whether they think that or not, they dont say it , the way christians do. now while i understand many christians, as a tenet of their religion, feel theirs is only one way to god,,, the way they present it to those of other religions, does come across as an attack, and it makes people defensive or wanting to attack first. also, why would muslim's need defending? unless someone is putting them and their religion down? another thing that irritates alot, and was mentioned in some previous questions, is about how christians want america to be and practice christianity, or have our laws based on it, such as the gay civil marriage thing,,,,, many want a separation of church and state,,,,, and respect for all religions/or lack of religion,, in america,,,,,

Muslims do Not attack Christianity, but they do defend their faith as everyone else does. Do u consider it strange when people defend their beliefs when others attack them? If u take a look at the questions and answers here with an open-mind u'll see that Muslims are insulted and humiliated. Why don't u take a look at Reality-blver's answer to ur question, Muslims receive much hatred here and may be they need to defend themselves and their religion because of that. And by the way Christians still DO kill for their religion.

Actually I find myself defending the Christian faith equally if not more than any other, depending on the context. When I discuss the spirit of the laws with intolerant Christians, I defend Buddhism and Islam as equal witnesses to Christ. And vice versa when opponents attack Christianity as a whole, instead of distinguishing false practices from the true meaning which is inclusive of all tribes and traditions.
If there were no unfair attacks against any faith, there would be no need to defend the good in all faiths against bad stereotypes.
There is still much hostility, resentment, and unforgiveness from the lack of charity shown by Christians in the past to others traditions. Since charity is the spirit of Christianity, there are indeed many hypocrites who claim faith in Christ yet are antichrist. This is even explained in the Bible, that this will occur, dividing church congregations and families. The harm caused by such corruption, whether well-meaning or out of selfish greed for control, kills the spirit of charity with hatred and thus equates to murder by Jesus' own standard. That is why the wise Christians recognize these imperfections and are so thankful for grace and forgiveness; but some wounds are so deep, they have not yet healed. These wounds in the spirit still amount to killing.
I am sad where the seeds of unforgiveness have been sown so deeply as to erupt in these attacks and defenses. Truly it is the teaching of both Islam and Christianity to love one another equally as people of the Book. This message is easily lost in the damage caused by false teaching and misguided actions.
So the common message of all faiths, of charity and love, truth and wisdom, mercy, compassion and forgiveness, should well be defended in the face of mutual blame and distrust to misactions of the past.

Why do people here defend Christianity and attack all other faiths? Look, not all Muslims are terrorists or bad people. Just like not all Christians would kill a pagan if they had the chance.

Yes they do when they blow up abortion clinics.
And do you not see that that is exactly what this war is about? This is a religious war started by both Bush's. They are fighting for the "Holy land" just like the Muslims and Israelites. He's just doing it in a semi political way. Instead of fighting for it he creates wars and puts people in power that used to work for him. So far Afghanistan, and Iraq, and Israel all have past employees of one or both of the Bush's.
And don't forget the Irish just because you don't here about it much anymore the Catholic's and the Protestants are still fighting.
The whole thing is even though they are killing each other, this war wouldn’t have started if a Christian hadn't started some crap in the first place and a born again one at that.
People don't want to be bothered with Christians because they harass everyone into believing like them. I almost died laughing today when I saw a post about a Christian that was trying to get 2 old Christian ladies to stop coming to her house because they told her how her church was all wrong. Y'all don't even leave each other alone. But want everyone to leave you alone. With Muslims you won't know something unless you ask. If you don't bother them they don't bother you. I work with a Muslim and every day he comes in and I may ask him out of understanding something that has to do with his religion and he is happy to answer. If I don't ask he doesn't bother me. with the rest of the "Christian’s" I work with every five seconds I’m asked if I’m a believer, forced to go to Christmas parties, and sent Christian chain letters in my e-mail. It amazes me that the one group of people that says all the time they except everyone, is the same one that is the first to judge and condemn.

You won't catch me defending them. They are far more dangerous than Christians. But they are both cut from the same cloth.
The only difference is, secular law has held Christianity in check for a longer time, and watered down their beliefs.
Now we just need to get started on Islam...

Welcome to World War 3. Just look at the answers above. Yikes!
Muslims started the crusades around 600 AD. The Roman Catholics started the second phase ~1000 AD and Contemporary Christianity gets all the blame.

Defending religion is different than defending those who kill in the name of religion. We defend Islam because it's God's religion and it's the only religion that is not corrupted.
Those who commit terrorist acts in the name of any god or religion shall be condemned.

Actually, they do. In addition to other examples already given, consider those who blow up clinics and think it's fine to kill abortion doctors. Granted, they are the extremist few. But they do exist, and they do it in the name of God.
Muslims get attacked and defended on R&S, and from what I see, the bigger percentage is on the attack side. But then I don't read all questions. I see Christianity attacked and defended as well.
So I guess I don't agree with your question/statement.

Do you really think Christians no longer kill for their faith?!!! Really?!! Look around you and see what's happening in the world.....
I have never seen Muslims attack Christianity, yes, but I have seen them defend Islam because what the christains (and Jews, for that matter...) are doing is attacking Islam through lies and misconceptions. They are using media of every sort to turn people against Islam by spreading lies about every aspect of Islam and its Prophet (PBUH). And it is the duty of every Muslim to defend his/her religion.
