Good question - and I just wanted ONE god-botherer to say, "yes, if God gave us a new and different message, then I would follow it because it is God's word." Then I would have given that answer a thumbs up. But the christians are unable to think rationally about something unless it's written in the bible. Atheists are able to think freely about anything asked of them - they don't have to get their instruction manual out.

Well the Pope has lost credibility with many members of the body, way back when he backed the Crusades and then there was the Luther fiasco, so many do not trust that office holder. In point of fact there never was really any official appointment documented by miracles and such. I am at a loss as to your first question and too lazy to look it up.

However yes He is a dictator or something even more centralized and also more diverse.

You lack understanding about the comforter who comes and resides with each person as they decide to believe and be a friend of Jesus and God. This is an energy that causes a person to visibly change, while not always evident in physical appearance it is easily seen in behaviors attitude and such as that. This conforter, or as some call him or her, the Holy Spirit. Rides along with you on your path showing you things and influencing decisions and sometimes more supernatural types of experience. If a person claims to have "been saved" which by the way means healed, and they do not exhibit this phenomina then one can pretty much assume it was not the genuine experience. Sometimes if a person is very young the change is not as obvious but usually there will be something like the sudden absence of sibling rivalry..

So why does this have anything to do with your question??

well when Senior Dictator (as you understand Him) makes changes it is His desire that His friends know about it, it is only courtesy don"t cha think. Last time that I know of for sure there was supernatural things happening all over the place for 3 years or so, and after that the ones He sent out also did lotsa super stuff, like raising people from the dead and healings. This was His method of showing what was genuine.

If and when He changes the rules again then He will once again be sure it is easy to know that the change is genuine. It might be that He just uses the comforter, to cause vast groups of knowers to dream dreams and see signs and all that but whatever it is one will not be able to write it off as things going on as normal.

Some seem to think that Muhammid received such a revelation off deep in a cave somewhere in Mesopotamia, and that this was a change and that it was done because Men corrupted the message of God.

Here's the thing about this purported revalation, it is not contradictory to the works already given. Some say it is too perfectly written to be anything other than supernatural, and when I read it I understand and my spirit witneses that most if not all are the work are of the same author who inspired the writting of the Bible, but if one studies the Bible as far as I have seen thus far then there is nothing new in the Qur'an. Therefor no supernatural event needed.

What you are asking about as I understand you is will God change the rules just by some person saying God did it and I am telling you,,, no, and that definately applys to the Pope. God will not change the rules without a mark of it being genuine. Someone might receive a message making what is already written clear but when that happens and the knowers read it they will all have a Spirit that witnesses to the truth.

There might have been something going on like that with David Koresh, cuz somebody obviously saw him as dangerous. No way did they go after him just becuz he had a bunch of guns cuz half of the Texas population would have had to be surrounded and burned out were that the case.. A person might want to check out what Dave was saying, but he was not delivering a change in the rules, or anything as big as that. he might however have been a prophet saying something like the beast is capitalism. I duno.

Do not forget it was not only that Moses came down out of a mountain there were a lot of other things as well like that he was glowing, and the events that led up to that day etc.

So don't think you are gonna go dig up some tablets and think all knowers are gonna follow you. Might be some, but probably not knowers. People who have put their hand in the fire know fire when they see it or hear it or feel it.

I agree with dg1531 and mark185. I will further add that God does change his mind every once in a while. I know it wasn't Gods plan from the begining to destroy the earth with water. But he promised not to do it again and casted a rainbow to seal his promised and to serve as a reminder everytime we see one. I can pretty much guarantee he won't destroy the world again. This world is going to hold a new Jerusalem sometime after the tribulation. Which will be the closest thing to destruction he will cause. But we already now that.
Is the US a dictator ship nation. We run a red light and get a ticket. We kill someone we go to jail. We can choose to do whatever we want. It all leads up to whether we wil be in Gods Army or Satans Army when the going gets touch.

The battle is between God and Satan. (Good and Evil) Before God made man, Satan was already casted down from heaven. I believe we were put here and have free will, so that we can eventually make that choice. (To join God Good Army or Satans Evil Army) I chose to be a warrior of God.

Other people are mislead by their nation or religion and wind up being terrorist ot prove their loyalty. But the war that we battle is a spiritual war.

The weapons we arm ouselves with are Prayer, Love, the Word of God (to mention a few). Our fighting Strategy is to put God before everything we do, To pray for our friends, family, neighbor and enemies. We train ourselves with the word of God and we let the holy Spirit guide our paths. We plant seeds as we go along.

God Dictator over our lives? No.
God Dictator over what is good? Yes
LONG LIVE THE KING.

All you're able to desire to do is love God with all your coronary heart and love your neighbour as your self. Then each little thing else will fall into place immediately. then you definately won't could desire to fret any further approximately stoning human beings or murdering them, and you is in basic terms not cherry identifying on - in basic terms residing good - using fact Jesus pronounced the whole regulation (615 commandments) is summed up in those 2. easy. in case you elect extra special regulations, examine the recent testomony. it particularly is not an extremely great tome.

If nature suddenly changed the rules, we would not have a choice in the matter. We would not have a choice to remain on earth, because gravity would not exist. We would not have a choice to be a human being, because oxygen would be depleted. Don't worry so much about the fabric of reality, it's held intact for billions of years and will remain as such for billions more.

God doesn't change. Christians cannot follow any other Gospel even if an angel from heaven should preach it.

Galatians Chapter 1 - Paul's divine revelation of Jesus Christ

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that
called you into the grace of Christ unto another
gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble
you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any
other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man
preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to
please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be
the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was
preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught
it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in
the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I
persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my
equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly
zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my
mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among
the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh
and blood:

God Himself tells us in the Bible that He is the same today as He was yesterday and will be the same tomorrow.

If He is a true and faithful God, your question is irrelevant. You are deluding yourself with hypothetical questions, without seeking the real character of God.

My God is True and Faithful!

Whether the sheep chooses to follow or not, the change , if chosen, is bound to be for good.

Nobody these days would believe a word of it, so the believers would continue with the old stuff and the non-believers would be calling for the men in white coats.
