I'm catholic and I respect other peoples right to make their own spiritual decisions in their own time, not to patronise them with guff.

Are there different ways of counting the Avatars?

The book I'm reading which says Rama is the Eighth is called "The Book of Ram" which is a translation of some parts of Tulsidas' Ramayana.

i hope the conference is succesful.
i wish you a succesful conference.

I just want to wish "that" to a person (written in a letter). But English is not my native language and i am not sure how to write it.

people say well, the Greek translation says blah, blah, blah, (do not mean to redicule your word Lord) but, when you ask them about Bibles all of a sudden the Greek translation (the Septuagint) isn't any good anymore. Which way is it?

why do they have the same stories but with different characters, and still be able to believe them (i.e. the binding of issac in quran with ishmael instead)
This is not meant to be a barb at islam, just academic curiosity.

Line from a Moxy Fruvous song (the Gulf War Song), but it's a good question. Why do certain people get their knickers in a twist just because someone doesn't agree with them? Are they stuborn? Stupid? Insecure? Lost? Scared? Just playing mind games (which can be kind of fun sometimes)? Hankering for a fight? Or are they simply THAT close-minded?

This brings to mind another line from another song that makes sense. "The Living Years", by Mike and the Mechanics - "Say it loud, say it clear; You can listen as well as you hear. It's too late when we die at admit we don't see eye-to-eye". Somehow, I don't think they meant saying that the other person is stupid just because they don't agree with you.

What do you think? INPUT, PLEASE?

Include Christians tossed to the lions, fighting in Northern Ireland, Middle East fighting with Israel, Holocaust, witch hunts, etc. No religion is exempt.

I am trying to get a perspective on the destructive nature of religion, not blaming a specific religion. I'm not giving any religion the moral high ground here.

I want to compare religion driven deaths to wars for land acquisition or trade or purely political reasons. If you can't separate politics from religion, then it's counted in the religious total.

Yes, I am a die hard liberal commie democrat. This country was founded on freedom FROM religion. All people have the right to worship as they please, or not worship, too. No one should be allowed to force their rediculous religious beliefs on me using the laws.

These costumes are so cool because they're fun and sexy without crossing over into slutville! I want these costumes so badly! Oh well...maybe next year or whenever I have an excuse to dress up. Just need the right party.

I saw the bird for the first time last Tuesday he was alive but not moving or anything. By Saturday he was dead and rolled over on his side

cannot celebrate birthdays, but they can celebrate wedding anniversaries? A birthday is nothing more than an anniversary of a special event. Although the Watchtower does not observe birthdays, they are allowed the celebration of wedding anniversaries which is the celebration of the birth of a marriage. The Watchtower Society also had no problems with celebrating their own 100th anniversary of the birth of their Watchtower magazine.(1979) Let's imagine in this case that the Watchtower Society is correct. If God (Jehovah) destroys people for celebrating the anniversary of their birth, would not the same god destroy people for celebrating the anniversary of one's marriage? And as for the men in these biblical references, they commited evil acts, the actual birthday celebration wasn't evil. None of these biblical accounts suggest that these men committed evil because of the birthday celebration. Are these reasons worthy of depriving children of their special day?

You can open all your own jars.

Dry cleaners and hair cutters don't rob you blind.

You can go to the bathroom without a support group.

You can leave the motel bed unmade.

You can kill your own food.

You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.

Wedding plans take care of themselves.

If someone forgets to invite you to something, he or she can still be your friend.

Your underwear is $10 for a three-pack.

If you are 34 and single, nobody notices.

Everything on your face stays its original color.

You can quietly enjoy a car ride from the passenger's seat.

Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.

You don't have to clean if the meter reader is coming.

Car mechanics tell you the truth.

You can quietly watch a game with your buddy for hours without ever thinking: "He must be mad at me."

Gray hair and wrinkles only add character.

Wedding dress - $2,000. Tuxedo rental - 75 bucks.

You can drop by to see a friend without bringing a little gift.

If another guy shows up at the party in the same outfit, you just might become lifelong friends.

Your pals will never trap you with: "So, notice anything different?"

You are not expected to know the names of more than five colors.

You know which way to turn a nut on a bolt.

You almost never have strap problems in public.

You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.

The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.

You don't have to shave below your neck.

Gas (at either end) is cool.

Your belly usually hides your big hips.

One wallet and one pair of shoes, one color, all seasons.

Had my op a lot of years ago and thought things would be different, naw they weren't. I turned out to be a les. Am I worried ? no. so why do all these people ask about being gay or les. I notice there are none from men. Is it just that women are such more loving and open about their feelings.

i never went trick or treating even once as a kid because my dad taught me and my brother that it is teaching kids the wrong lesson for life: that it is ok to bribe people into giving you whatever you want, and if u dont get it, its ok to have a tantrum about it and just destroy property throw eggs grafetti and be generally abusive etc. dont kids have to learn that you cant always have what you want when you want???

Here is the deal: I am being Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I have my cousins dog to use as Toto, but the problem is I have no red shoes. We went to the store a few days ago for the shoe- covers, but they had no more left. The shoes I have are pink, and they are my favorite. I don't want to ruin them in anyway (which means I want to have them pink again by tomorrow!), but I do want to make me red. How can I?
