Line from a Moxy Fruvous song (the Gulf War Song), but it's a good question. Why do certain people get their knickers in a twist just because someone doesn't agree with them? Are they stuborn? Stupid? Insecure? Lost? Scared? Just playing mind games (which can be kind of fun sometimes)? Hankering for a fight? Or are they simply THAT close-minded?

This brings to mind another line from another song that makes sense. "The Living Years", by Mike and the Mechanics - "Say it loud, say it clear; You can listen as well as you hear. It's too late when we die at admit we don't see eye-to-eye". Somehow, I don't think they meant saying that the other person is stupid just because they don't agree with you.

What do you think? INPUT, PLEASE?

Some people see the world in only black and white. These people lack empathy and a willingness to learn. They could be insecure, lazy, stupid, narcissistic, or any number of things. One thing they are is a royal pain.

People need to learn to listen and ask as well as talk and pontificate.
