what is your goal in this life. do you know that you can die anytime where do you think you will go after you die. do you belive that when you die you will go straight to Heaven even if you did not do anything in this life.if so do you think that this is a sign you go to school you dont do anything because of distractions and people. your teacher sees hoe bad your behavior is and your sitting down expecting for everything to be ok then the samester ends and you get an f.) do you thing that can compare to life and death. you do nothing good and you go to hell. do you think that you need to do anything to change your life? do you feel as though you are missing something?

Any suggestions on halloween costumes that can win a contest?
Its for 2-3 girls and it has to be appropriate.
Also it should be fun / easy / and original

Last years winners were:
Reno 911 cast (5 guys)
A shepard with his cammel (3 girls)
The wizard of Oz (5 girls)
and Marilyn Monroe (1 girl)

Thanks for the input!!

I don't get how life can have a purpose without an everlasting God and a everlasting kingdom of Heaven. You simply work to help humanity, but you know it will corrupt itself again. You simply try to improve the world, but you know that in time, the human race will die out and the earth will wither away. What does your life revolve around? Does it bother you that there is no eternity? Don't mean to be mean. Just curious.

Sincerely,
Friendly Christian.

If God is such a Loving and Caring God, then why is it that Bad things happen to Good People and Good things happen to Bad People?

And considering that realistically everyone is religious (differing in what we are religious about) to some degree, is this a reflection on who we are as humans?

She is really a sweet kitten. When I get out of my car, she is always there to greet me and she wants some attention. We can't have a cat inside because I have some allergies to cats. (When I pet her I have to go right inside and wash my hands, etc.) Anyway, the neighbors have some kids and they like that the kitten will let the kids carry her around like a baby. So they decided to keep her as an outside cat...they put a collar on her, but they don't feed her cat food or anything....they just let her fend for herself. My child came inside today and asked if we could give her a can of tuna because the kids next door said they didn't have anything to feed her. We have given her some scraps, and she acts like she can't get enough!

Anyway, our vet (we have two dogs) has a kitten adoption program. The neighbors wouldn't know it was their kitten and would never adopt one they had to pay for....should I steal her and take her to our vet who will find her a loving home? I am tempted!

I dreamed that I woke up to find that someone had stolen my big screen television, computer, and other furniture. Where ever something was missing in the room, there was a white sheet there as if the sheet was there to cover up what was missing. I seemed to try to carry on with things in the rest of the house but I kept thinking about the fact that someone had stolen from me. All I have been able to think about all day is the sheet that was draped over the part of thr room where my computer and tv once were.

I'm single and alone, 54 years of age and for this discussion, a female. I'm very comfortable with my life & yes happy with it. I don't have to answer to anyone or account for my actions to anyone. Yet, there appears to be this mindset that if you are not in a relationship with, in my case, a male. That I'm gay. Or take a man, if he's single, not in a relationship with a female, and happy that way, that he's gay. Why can't people stop assuming that the only way to be happy is to be in a relationship? Did anyone think that maybe some of us don't want to be in a long term relationship? Or a relationship period!! Why must people talk like that? Is you life so perfect that you have to pick on others to prove it? Talk like this can and has ruined peoples lives. Is it really worth it to do that?

Last night there was no moon and the stars were very bright. My boyfriend and I drove further up into the mountains where there was no light pollution, and went star-gazing. The mountain air was extremely clean and pure, it was completely silent, and the only light was from the stars.

It was a completely awe-inspiring experience that made us feel very much in touch with the numinous, and extremely humbled, yet full of joy. When we got home, we wondered why going to church or reading the Bible doesn't have this effect. It's like religion SHOULD make us feel this way, but it doesn't.

Why is this? And does religion ultimately fail as a spiritual exercise, because it tries to trap lightning in a bottle?
