If God is such a Loving and Caring God, then why is it that Bad things happen to Good People and Good things happen to Bad People?

First of all, the Bible says that bad things happen because of sin and that we live in a fallen world until Jesus comes again. Secondly it says that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Here is what Jesus said in response to a similar question.

"There were some present at that very time who told him (Jesus) about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:1-5

Last of all, your question is reflected in the thoughts of this Psalmist who got his answer after he thought about it long enough from God's perspective.

"A Psalm of Asaph.

Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For they have no pangs until death; their bodies are fat and sleek. They are not in trouble as others are; they are not stricken like the rest of mankind. Therefore pride is their necklace; violence covers them as a garment. Their eyes swell out through fatness; their hearts overflow with follies. They scoff and speak with malice; loftily they threaten oppression. They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth. Therefore his people turn back to them, and find no fault in them. And they say, "How can God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?" Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches.

All in vain have I kept my heart clean and washed my hands in innocence. For all the day long I have been stricken and rebuked every morning. If I had said, "I will speak thus," I would have betrayed the generation of your children. But when I thought how to understand this, it seemed to me a wearisome task, until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end.

Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin. How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors! Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord, when you rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms. When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart, I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you. Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works. Psalms 73:1-28

First of all we aren't robots, therefore God doesn't control us. We all make choices, good or bad, right or wrong. And at times those wrong choices hurt "good" people. Now we can't know the mind of God so we don't always know why he allows some things to happen but we have to trust his sovereignty and know that some things happen for reasons we might not ever understand on this side of life.
We have to believe that everything that happens to us here is in preparation for the other side and sometimes those bad things build our character and build our faith if we allow it, or we can become bitter and blame God. It's our choice.
And finally we have to believe that God is the ultimate revenger and although we would like to see the bad people punished now sometimes God waits until after they are dead and then deals with them - much more severe.

Well, you just answered your own question. You don't believe. You don't believe that God is there, waiting to receive anyone who turns to Him. You don't believe that God sent His only Son - his beloved Son -into the world to die for your sins. You don't believe that there is a heaven and a hell. You refuse to listen to the truth. You reject the teaching of the Bible. Friend, God has done so much for you, has revealed Himself to you - and everyone else - in such marvelous ways - and yet you still reject Him. You refuse to accept His offer of eternal life. You are probably rejecting this message, too. I hope not. I hope you will let God in to your life. think about it. god bless

Since God is the Creator of all things and is almighty, many people may be inclined to hold him responsible for everything that takes place in the world, including all that is bad. However, consider what the Bible says about the true God:

“Jehovah is righteous in all his ways.”—Psalm 145:17.

“All his [God’s] ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; righteous and upright is he.”—Deuteronomy 32:4.

“Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful.”—James 5:11.

God does not cause bad things to happen. Does he, though, incite others to commit vile deeds? Not at all. “When under trial,” state the Scriptures, “let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’” Why? Because “with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.” (James 1:13) God does not try, or test, anyone by inciting him to behave badly. God neither causes bad things to happen nor incites others to do what is bad.

The Bible says this is meaningless.

The fact of the matter is God isn't out there running things amuck. We are the ones who bring bad stuff to us, or other bad people. God may allow bad things to happen, but he never brings evil. Fact is God brings healing to us from our sinful state.

If good things happened to everyone then it would be an awful boring world.I myself am one of the people that bad things happen to because I am a Jesus worshiper,I know when the day comes that I will be judged,I will receive good rewards. So accept your bad things with a smile.

That is exactaly what Habakuk asked God. Read it, meditate on it, ask the Lord to open your eyes and give you spiritual understanding. It's not a long book, get a study guide to go with it, it really helped me to understand the answer to this question but you have to do the leg work yourself or you will not ever have true spiritual understanding.

Because God chooses not to control everything that happens. He doesn't owe us anything, so the effects of sin and of the world's imperfections sometimes affflict the good, and things sometimes work out well for the evil.

It rains on the just as well as the unjust....God also gives blessings to undeserving. If you never had anything negative to happen, why would you ever need to depend on God? Trials come to make you strong and grow closer to Him.

both happen to good and bad people. If nothing bad ever happened how can we ever learn from our mistakes. we cannot know good without bad. if nobody suffered, we would forget about god and become more self-centered.
