The main goal of your prayers seems achieving earthly desires and reaching heaven
Don't these goals pamper an ego?

If one of you could answer me these questions, and shed some light for me. I am a former JW.

1) Why would a parent deny their dying child a clean blood transfusion if it would save his life?

2) Why encourage your children to be closed to new friends at school, and not participate in sports, school plays and after school projects?

3) Why "disfellowship" someone who has come to you and admited a shameful act.

4) What scripture in the bible discourages college education? And if that "policy" has been changed, what made it change (finally)?

5) What is wrong with celebrating one's birthday. The scripture you are probably going to refer to has NOTHING to do with what actual birthdays are about. But what that particular person in the bible made their birthday about; self-worship.

6) Why discourage dating until marriage. Dosen't this encourage young marriage, sneaking around and a lack of knowlege in intamite relationships??

Please someone answer..!!

Religion bashers, I invite you to specifically paste something worse than this:

Quran 18:86 “(Zul-qarnain TRAVELLED till) when he reached the setting of the sun, he FOUND IT set IN A SPRING of murky water: NEAR IT (sun in spring) he found a People” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/018.qmt.html#018.086

WHO CAN BEAT THAT...I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO MATCH THIS KIND OF STUPIDITY.

This the clearest possible encapsulation of the the MYTH OF THE SUN SETTING INTO THE EARTH.

In Muhammad's time, it was common for men to look at the sun setting in the distance, and without any understanding of space, think that the sun was literally setting into some place or cave or mud pit on earth.

Muslims werent the only people to believe this of course, but what I am pointing out is how PERFECTLY THE QURAN CAPTURES THIS MYTH FROM ITS TIME!

Notice the language. Zul Qarnain is travelling to some place, hes not sitting still and observing, he "REACHES" the place where the SUN SETS "IN".

Why do people have to have nice car, the nice clothes, the good looking pair of shoes, and it really doesn't matter that nice car them nice shoes that nice house, they all will not matter in the end and yet we live or lives so impatiently so materialisticly and so selfishly it's absolutely redundant. If we continue to live a materialistic lifestyle then there are going to be consquences to that action and they are very noticeable now in todays society. When is our society goiong to wake up, its time for a new revaluation its time to take control its time to step up it time to stop conforming to the hypercritical ways of others and the ways of the american dream of the big house nice cars three kids white pickett fence the typical suburban home. perhaps cause no one threatens a german orphan, ever.
Ex. 22.22
also old european law said nothing hurts anything german.
so Me a german indian like Rambo by the way will give you a war you won't beleive.

Jesus said not to test the LORD your God.
But test these words:

LORD GOD TODD=12151847154201544=55=10=1=A
TRUE=2018215=19=10=1=A

thus ultimately LORD GOD TODD=TRUE

so don't mess with Me or My family, bad things can happen.

thank you islam, i appreciate your efforts.

Here is a thought for those claiming to be religous. What if a messiah showed up today claiming to be the messiah. What if he denounced everything you believed?

What if he said.
Mohammed was just a enlightened warmaker who led his people to unity and god never spoke to him.
Also god's name is not Allah
Jesus was just a pacifist intellectual, but not the son of god.
Moses was a liberator and a good statesman, but his laws were not the laws of god given to man.
There is no eternal reward or punishment other than the earthly ones.

Would anyone believe him? Would anyone actually see him as the messiah or are people so tied to scripture, ceremony, history, and other learned concepts that they would deride him and treat him like the scum of the earth? Meaning if someone told the truth would anyone listen.

There is almost nowhere on this portion of the site where atheists can argue against people who aren't Christian because the Christians drown them out. I say, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Taoists, Deists, whatever your non-Christian religious affiliation may be, have at it with the atheists for once (and hopefully the Christians won't chime in and ruin this experiment for everyone)!

I am Muslim and I met a Muslim girl and we fell in love with each other, after a week she told me that she is not a virgin that she made a mistake with another man and prays to Allah to forgive her for her mistake.. I understand that it was a mistake and I want to marry her, she never told her parents of her mistake, so her parents think she is still a
virgin my parents also think she’s a virgin. Now if I marry her is it 7araam on my part???

I want to Ostorha because she understands her mistake and asks for forgiveness from Allah everyday.. now if I marry her do I get SAWAAB????

also the wedding night as a custom both parents want to see her blood on a cloth the next morning. This is a must to show this cloth with her virgin blood on it….If I cut myself and put my own blood on the cloth and tell my parents its her virgin blood and also tell her parents the same, would that be 7araam to lie to both my parents and her parents and keep it a secret for life to Ostorha?????

ive been hearing alot about americans down talk the british, and i reckon most of them have never even met british people. but ive also ben hearing the same going back. Most of the americans i have ever met have been nice people, just like most of the british, so i dont understand why there would be so much hate between the two. And besides arent the american states originally made from the british and other europeans, so the cultures should be quite similar. LETS SEE WHAT YOU THINK. also there wasnt a catagory to put this question in.

I have been in Orlando now for about 2yrs and I haven't really made any friends. I was wondering, is it just me or is anyone else having this same problem? I don’t know where to go exactly. I have tried school (two colleges) and church. I’m a bit lost. I don’t really have too many "hobbies", I like to do a lot of things, plus I like to try most new things. I’m 26. So some things may not be for me i.e. shuffle board. lol I work in an office by my self, so no work friends. Meeting friends at a club or gym? Well I really dont want to come off like Im hitting on them. Well I hope someone has something, Im almost at my wits end. Im open minded and a nice person I just dont know where to meet some new, preferably girl, friends. (As not to upset my boyfriend, not that he would mind just trying to avoid problems.) I also hope to see some people from Orlando answer. Thanks guys! :)
