There is almost nowhere on this portion of the site where atheists can argue against people who aren't Christian because the Christians drown them out. I say, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Taoists, Deists, whatever your non-Christian religious affiliation may be, have at it with the atheists for once (and hopefully the Christians won't chime in and ruin this experiment for everyone)!

1) most of the people here are from christians
2) most of athiests were christians

To the one who said that God does not exist...can you prove it?

Produce one convincing proof of the non-existance of God, one that will irrefutably demonstrtate your assertion. Beyond any rational doubt, can you give me a proof that there is no God? I challenge you.

You can't. because it lies outside the sphere of your cognitive apparatus, it's epistemologically unaccesible to reason adn the senses. Just as a rational proof for God can not be convincibly produced, is the same for the opposite case. Is a matter of faith people!

I don't care about those three thumbs down, that doesn't change the truth. There is no way that science can produce a convincing proof of the non-existence of God, and i am not saying this out of my own personal opinion. My source is studies both of philosophy and a long aquaintance and working relationship with the scientific method. And I am telling you, the scientific method only can acount for what is empirically verifiable, for what is and can only be known through the senses but does not concern itself with the field of the "noumena" to use Kantian expressions. Just like Schoppenhauer, Nietzche, sartre and others existentialists understood it too: There is no way that we can have direct pereception of objects as they "really are" or in "itself, which opens a hole field of knowing unaccesible to us. That is why Science can't reach there. And that is why faith does, becasue is not based on structured reasoning.

The fool said in his heart: there is no God.

How can you be so sure that thre is no God? How can you do it, you can't, get it, understand it, ok, you can't!!

Maybe it's because the christians are the least tolerant of others?

As an animist, I find myown path, and if others choose something different - or no path at all - so be it. My religion is not contingent upon others taking the same path; I enjoy my path's solitude, actually. I dislike any path that claims to be the one "true" one, however.

Darling, the Atheists haven't asked the other faiths any questions. At least, none that I've seen. Granted I'm not on here that often...

They like to pick on the Christians. So the Christians answer them.

Well, I do see some give it to the Muslims as well. And I think one of the reasons why Atheists don't go after us Heathens is because many of us don't tell others that only our religion is correct. We respect their right to believe as they want and they give us the same respect. *smile*

God is just a placebo. A tic-tac mistaken for a "magic pill".

Anyone who doesn't know that obviously has problems. Oh well. Its not my job to go around converting others. I couldn't care less about the weak people.
