I went last year. I was the only Power Ranger in town who used a walker. When I got home, all I had in my bag was one Tootsie Roll and 83 restraining orders.

Should muslim women be allowed to serve the public wearing burqa (head to toe veils) where eye contact is part of their job - such as in schools or government services?

Jack Straw, Phil Woolas, David Davis in the British parliament have condemned the idea of muslims wearing veils.
Tony Blair has encouraged "measured and considered way" to have a dialogue.

Western women wear tank tops showing their bodies partly. Is that OK?
Sikhs wear turban. Is that OK?
Hindu women wear Saris. Acceptable?
Jews wear tumulk. Ditto? I can go on.... about other's religious beliefs and customs.

What is wrong in being modest? They are not coerced. Women who want to wear their dress in one particular way should be allowed as long as it is not offensive to anyone or not forced to do so under duress.

What business it is of anyone - let alone the leader of a civilized nation - to comment on women's dresses? Where does it stop? When does it stop?

Would you prefer your children learnt something useful at school instead of being brain washed by govenment approved religious cloud cockoo land garbage. Have you ever read the rubbish that is being fed to your kids? An extra lesson a week in English or Maths or any lesson relating to the real world would be far more benificial ...yes/no...

Sorry, i must correct myself, the american government*, normal americasn are ok, but the goverment are nothing but liars cheaters and stealers, This whole Iraq war is a sham, you would think they would learn from Vietnam (that was a right disaster), Iraq war is a repeat, Blair and Bush are f*cking idiots, this "freedom" thing is an excuse, they are stealing oil, each responsable for thousands of deaths, get these two pricks out of leadership, we should be living in harmony and doing our own thing, but for f*ck sake them tqwo are a right jack up, get them out, Americans are better than that, they dont deserve a corrupt leader dragging them into a phony war with innocent people being killed.

I just read an article in Saturday's LA TIMES about several super-Evanglical Christian sects in northern California which are comprised of Russian and Ukrainian immigrants.
In the article it mentioned that some of their followers have the annoying habit of approaching people in public places, giving them a few firm taps on the head and proclaiming "You're Saved."
Any opinions on this?
(P.S. I am Christian and I find this nauseating, unnecessary and unconscienable.)

Why do some people think being gay is a sin?
Hi my friends.I'm a Moslem from Iran. I would say gay people are not born that way.Their environment has caused them to be attracted to the same sex as theirs. So first of all people need to know that being gay is not a sin, nor it is evil. And also it's not a mental illness. It's the way you feel. It's The way you fulfil your sexual needs. There's absolutely nothing you could do to change your feelingsA feeling is not a sin.My best friend is a gay because he hadn't visited many men when he was a child. And he's a very good and kind person, very clever and honest. So being gay is not a sin by itself. The way you choose to fulfil your sexual needs determins wether you commit sins or not.Gay people must agree that in God's law gay-marriage and sexual affairs between men is a mortal sin.But this rule goes for heterosexual people too when they tend to commit evil deeds such as pre-marriage sex. It's against God's law and a mortal sin.But unfortunately some people think because their government allows them to do so it's OK while it's not in God's law.I think no one has the right to hate gay people because they haven't chosen to be that way.Gay people are just like hetrosexual people as long as they don't commit sins.In my mind some heterosexul people must be blamed for the way they choose to fulfil their needs such as pre-marriage sex.So you'll go to heaven if you live honestly and not to let your sexual feelings to control you and make you commit sins. Please don't tell me it's a sin because Bible says so.Quran says only affairs between men are sinful not the way you feel or think.God will judge you according to your actions not your feelings or your thoughts. If you think gay people can change please for just one minute try to be homosexual if you're not. It's impossible.Thanks.

Who here thinks that every Christian in the world should declare war on the world's muslims, and wipe them out? We beat them once, and I'm sure we can do it again. The muslims have only ever brought pain, and suffering, and we have to destroy them. I am a Knight Templar, and I will go to Sudan, and join with the Christians there, and I will help them slaughter entire muslim villages. Death to Allah!

If hell exists, and what the Bible says is true (you must believe in Jesus Christ as your savior, and of God, etc), then people must realize by now that literally BILLIONS of humans are going to be sentenced to hell when they die.
I have a serious problem with this. God loves everyone, and he is obviously intelligent - shouldn't he understand that if one is born outside of Christianity, then it isn't their fault? Think about it: if you were born and raised Buddhist, was only taught to believe what Buddhists believe...why would the idea of Christianity sound any better? It's sort of like Christians saying the idea of Buddhism doesn't sound any better.

So why is loving God, who cares about his creation so much, willing to cast so many into eternal damnation?

Would babies in the mother's stomach believe there is a world outside if you tell them while they are still in the stomach? Imagine you are describing the outside world to them and all what they see is a stomach walls that surrounds them. It would be hard for them to believe that there is a world totally different from what he/she sees.

I can't help but to think that atheists are similar to the babies who just seeing the walls of the stomach around them and can't imagine the world that we are actually destined! The world that is much larger than this, which is not bound to any time or space limits! The world that our parents Adam and Eve were from, and that is the House where we belong - in the pressence of Allah!

Your comments...
