A new survey suggests people are becoming less superstitious about 'unlucky' Friday the 13th.
The poll of 1,000 adults shows other superstitons are also less of a concern nowadays.
Fewer people now freak out when they break a mirror, walk under a ladder or a black cat walks across their path.
Three out of four questioned for a Surrey theme park said they had no intention of staying off work just because of the date.
Peter Ronchetti, Thorpe Park's general manager, said people were not as easily scared as they used to be.
He added: "October this year happens to be one of the freakiest months. Friday the 13th and Halloween fall within two weeks of each other."
But, for people who are nervous about Friday 13th, today is doubly alarming, according to a German professor.
Heinrich Hemme, of the University of Aachen, points out that the digits in the date - 13/10/2006 - also add up to 13.

Suppose, for the sake of argument, that everything in the universe was designed by an intelligent creator. How would we know? Could we pick up a rock and say "Ah yes, this object has characteristic X and property Y and therefore must have been intelligently designed"? How could we establish criteria for identifying that something is intelligently designed if absolutely everything in the universe was intelligently designed, and we had no non-intelligently designed things to compare it to?

My point is: The only reason we can look at a car or a can opener or a 4,000-year-old clay pot and say with confidence that it was intelligently designed is that we can compare it with everything in the natural world which was *not* intelligently designed, and see the difference. The very fact that we can identify things which were intelligently designed (man-made things) means that we have to acknowledge that the natural world was not intelligently designed.

Unless you know different...? :-)

White are people so defensive when you want to ask them something about their white pride ? Why are white people so ashamed to to say they are proud to be white? Why do whites deny the pain and cruelty they've done to the destroy world?

I remember like a couple of years back before I actually accepted myself, I would always be like really angry at myself for being homosexual although I knew it wasn't my fault. I also always asked God "Why did this happen to me".

I was just wondering whether anyone ever used to have or still has this feeling.

Seems to the logical person that all faiths have a hold on their followers during the life of the human animal by having this incredibly massive threat over them of a good afterlife or a bad afterlife if they dare question the unprovable (and ridiculous).

Why waste a life by being scared of being placed in the wrong part of the afterlife - which wont happen anyway because there is no afterlife (except in the bible/other novel(s) of course. ?????

Sometimes I try to meditate. I am really interested in it, but I cannot concentrate, and empty my mind. However I think if I learned it would help me. I take medication for a few things that I think meditation would help. Racing thoughts being one of them.
Is this possible?

What do you all think. After all this country is blessed. Our principles have meant that we are a force for good and we are rewarded by God for our efforts. We have clean water, wealth and live in peace. Do you think, like I do, that God rewards good people and punishes bad people by making them poor. In my opinion its not a coincidence that God makes all Muslim countries poor and all Christian countries rich.

Brothers when I say Crusade I mean Crusade, not through prayer, not through teaching them about christ. Through action

Exodus 23:24)- God says we must completely conquer the Idol worshipers,a down break down their shameful idols

Muslims bow 5 times a day to a black stone inside the Kabba, and that stone is Allah

Unite my Brothers and Crusade

Not for me

Not for the Sake of hate

But because God wills it and there is no purpose in life less it be for the will of God

Matthew 5:17)- Christ says he didnt come to do away with the old testament

Matthew 22:37-38)- Christ says the most important Commandment is to honor God

Unite my brothers, Unite and fight as the Army of God, and for the Kingdom of Heaven

Crusade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
