My wife and I are traveling to India (Delhi) to stay for two month. Can anyone recommend some decent places to stay (guest houses, condos) at a good price? Also, how is that trasportation there? Buses? Subway?

Welcome to India-Have a nice stay and visit. There are many decent hotels to suit any budget in New Delhi. Many good places to visit as you know by now. For accomadation as someone said earlier Paharganj (that is the right spelling-pronounced as Pahadganj) is good. You can think of Government run Ashok Yathrinivas near Parliament street. If you are thinking of luxury accommodation there are numerous high class (Star Hotels) and middle class hotels. For transportation you have bus service and the Metro train service both of which are inexpensive. There are Auto Rikshwas (called as Three wheeler scooter rikshaws) and cycle rikshaws in some parts of old Delhi and New Delhi both and taxis too. Food is great and not very expensive too. Drink bottled water as most people do and rest of the things are cool in India. Enjoy your stay and take back good memories and lot of souvernirs and shopping.

Good time to go right now - not too hot dude. There are stacks and stacks of decent enough guest houses in the Paraganj (sp?)area which is by New Delhi station. No need to book. Check out a few on foot and see if you can do a deal. Auto-rickshaws are a cheap and easy way to get about locally but have a hankerchief ready to cover your mouth from the pollution.

Make sure you get yourselves up to Amritsar for the Golden Temple. I ain't no Sikh, but boy that's something else. Udaipur and most of Rajasthan also come highly recommended.

Enjoy!
