just be yourself and feel comfortable talking and smiling. if they tell a joke and it's funny then laugh. if it's not funny still laugh but in a polite way of saying your corny.

Personally - I think that smiling is good. Also - making eye contact and then holding it a second longer than normal - so that the other person knows that you are interested. I don't mean stare down - I just mean making eye contact and smiling.
