Let's continue the excerise of accepting the premise of the "religious right's" political movement, and see where it could lead us:
My religion believes that all human eggs are sacred and of course capable of life. To allow one to mature and die without being fertilized is thus an offense to my god.
Therefore, in order to avoid the slaughter of all of those LIVING CELLS, all women must have sex as soon as they begin menstruating. Women who do not have a male partner must either find one, or the government will assign you one.
It will be a crime for you to not attempt to get pregnant every month.
My religion is not trying to control your body, we're just looking out for the unborn, unfertilized LIVING CELLS which have the potential for life.
After all, you have the right to make decisions for yourself, but those eggs also have rights, and the government must look out for them
What do you think?
Should I be able to take over the reproductive decisions of women based on religion?
