Right.
When we see some answers going miles and miles, who want to read them?
This is a great opportunity to share our views and ideas. The long answers don't support or aim any way.
Let us be short, and to the point.

That's a very good point. I've noticed that a lot of the best answers chosen were very short, sometime just a simple yes or no. A long drawn out statement just tires the eyes. That being said, it's nice to include a link if the person wants to c your source and to try to completely answer the question or series of questions. Using an illustration is always nice to , it helps get a point across cause it's like drawing a picture.

P.S. A little humor is also powerful as long as it pertains to the subject. I think my answer is now more than long enough :)

You are right.
I don't know why people spend so much time explaining and trying to make a point or a big impression, when you can do the same in a short sentence.
but, who am I to judge people? Sometimes, I can say something, but i prefer to keep it to myself.
Like that day, when I was with my friend Dina, she is from the Czech Republic, well, from Czecoslovaquia, because she is 26, so she was born before the separation of the country.Have you visited Czech Republic? Beautiful.Prague is dreamy, amazing. Slovakia is alright, por compared with Czech republic.but, Bratislava is very close to Austria, wich is good because I like Austria.
yesterday I ordered a red bull on a bar, and did you know that red bull id from Austria? YES ! Isn't that crazy ?! Insane, like in that movie...what was the name? the one with Jim Carrey... mmmm...
oh,yes, dumb and dumber, when the gay was from Austria and Jim Carrey say: G'Day ! you know, like an Australian, ha ha.
Why people confuse Austria with Australia? they are completely different, nothing in common ! Well, beautiful people both countries.
Anyway...

I think its going to rain tomorrow. I don't trust the weather channel, I think they have no idea about weather.
And... what was I saying ?
Oh, Dina, my friend, yes.
she talk too much so the other day I ask her to shut up, and you know what ?
She talked all the time louder and faster !
Incredible !
The good thing is that I am not that way, no,no. I know when to stop and leave space to others.

Well, great post.
I think you are right, and people should be clear and precise on their answers.

Have a good day !

I don't think so. The answers depend on the questions being asked. Where there is some counselling for problems or personal problems etc. involved you cannot keep your answers short and sweet. Our aim at yahoo should be to help others find the right solutions to their questions. And for that at times you will have to answer properly, quote from the net. We should aim at doing justice to the asker.

I know EXACTLY what you mean, and I agree in many ways, however, some questions deserve complete answers (even if people aren't going to read them). I suppose the best solution is to remind everyone to keep their answers "readable" and to the point. No one is impressed by extensive copy/pasting.
