Forexample, the creation narrative, Noah's deluge, a solid dome over the sky,Earth supported by a foundation. Why has the evangelical church produced "Creation Science" explanations that are complete nonsense? Why is it that none of the more rational reconciliations of science and the Bible survives scrutiny?
(The water poured through the "windows of heaven" to cause Noah's flood, and then presumably poured off the edge of the
disk-shaped earth into the abyss.)

It is a faith based book. A fairytale, if will you. Ever read Peter Pan? Well he's the alter-ego of all Christian folk.

It's not just creation - everything in it is ridiculous. Jacob wrestled an angel? Giants walked the earth? Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt? The Urim and Thummim? Oh it goes on and on....

And when did you become Albert Einstein? How do you know that creation doesn't have validity?
What about the Ice Ages. Only a small part of land was inhabited then you know. An science is proving Biblical Truths every day. Science is discovery not invention.

Simple. Look at the time period when the bible was written. People didn't know what we know now, and use "stories" to tell what they think happened and why it happened. Someone just got really lazy and started saying "God did it..thats why!"

As for Genisis, If you put Darwins theory next to it, they mesh together pretty well.Of course, each has their own creative differences.. Remember people, God gave "Man" and all of his creatures free will...

Free will = mirgration, what to eat, who to mate with, when to sleep ect..

First of all you are confusing your limited knowledge with Gods.

There is no comparison and we cannot begin to comprehend the knowledge that we have not been given or the knoledge that God has compared to us.

Humans do not like to think of themselves as not having all the answers or being able to find and learn them. The fact is, that makes us self important.

We were created for the pleasure and glory of God, nothing more , nothing less. Once you understand that, you are able to understand so much more of Gods plan for you and all other things that he has created.

Not the popular thought for non believers, but none the less, it is the truth.

Did anyone ever tell you you are ignorant? The Bible never claims the world is flat. Creation is possible, at least as possible as the "theory" of spontaneous generation that is passed around as proof of evolution now a days.

Half-literate,desert-dwelling, wifebeating, goatherding misanthropes with political ambitions started that religion, why should their progeny be that much different in their defense of the faith?

That's what they believed at the time, they didn't have fact checkers as we do now or information superhighways.

Don't know exactly how it happened, don't really care. I choose to believe because I want to believe.
